However, I heard a rumour last night that suggested that Rankgers are looking to take Bruno in January as cover for Thompson? Has anyone else heard this or have back up? I know he's out of contract in the summer so this could be possible. I truely hope not ... we've waited a long time to have him back and he seems to be doing well !! I just heard a drunken rumour that he was getting punted because he was one of the 'high earners' along with Larry. Didn't hear anything about Rangers. IIRC there was no real controversy surrounding the exit of Fyssas - both parties had acknowledged that Takis wanted to move home and he was given a rousing goodbye on the last day of the season. Yes but I wanted him to stay! Just like I'd prefer Bruno to stay. I'd be quite happy for Hearts to keep a couple of the higher earners at the club and get shot of some of the under performing dross we've got. Our squad is still pretty horrifically big. It'd be a better move to cut it down but to keep in the better players such as Bruno and build round them instead of the new tactic of having about 12 players for each position. Spot on but too much sense for our "Committee" We should be keeping the likes of Bruno and yes Kingston, to bring on the younger lads in the side, like Eggy and Driver. Generic Username Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 I don't genuinely believe we do have too many players for each position now - save for centre and right midfield which, surprise surprise, are where our two biggest earners play - Kingston and Aguiar. I believe we can keep Bruno, but it would require him to accept a pay cut. If he doesn't want to do that then we have to accept we cannot afford him. I think we've also got too many strikers, too many pap ones at that. Out of curiousity, roughly what is Bruno on a month? Is he in the Beslija category of pay?
