8/1 in a two horse race... You almost have to put money on that. ... Almost!;)

I can see a lot of "spoiled" papers not being counted.... in the poorer, African-American areas.

Obama has been a certainty for over 6 months. Why would the "dark powers" object to him being elected.

On all the major issues both candidates have very similar views.

Exactly. There is no white supremacist "order" pulling the levers of Govt in the States.

The only colour relevant to Capitalists is green.

You bet your house on it then. Anyone who uses the phrase 'free money' is doomed to lose.

Even the racists in America are voting Obama, as McCain is a complete nutter.

true. did anyone see the quotes from leading white power supremacists who are voting for obama? :)

Three out of four white supremacists

prefer Obama to McCain.

Tom Metzger, Director White Aryan Resistance

"McCain... He’s a scary, scary person -- more

dangerous than Bush. Obama, according to his

book, Dreams Of My Father, is a racist and

I have no problem with black racists."

Erich Glieber, Chairman, National Alliance

"Obama... He’s a very intelligent man, an

excellent speaker and has charisma... My only

problem with Obama is perhaps he’s not

black enough.”

Rocky Suhayda, Chairman, American Nazi Party

“White people are faced with either a ***** or

a total nutter who happens to have a pale

face. Personally I’d prefer the *****."

The odd one out is Ron Edwards, Imperial Wizard

of the Imperial Klans of America

“Obama, I think he’s a piece of ****."

more likely because they want a race war to start, which several parties have already indicated they'll incite should Obama get in.

Bookies rarely get odds wrong for things like this, especially by that wide a margin, I think any money placed on McCain would be fattening the bookies turkey for christmas.

Got it in one, why would the bookies stick there neck out and give out crazy odds in a 2 horse race if it`s virtually a done deal, unless there is people daft enough to put money on McCain.;)

Where you get 16/1 ?

Ill buy that for a dollar

Betfair, done to about 13/1.

My plan is to lay when it get nearer the time. I have it set up just no lay when/if it's gets down to 5/1. If I get a chance to see it dropping, I'll remove it and stick it in at 3/1.

Just now, if McCain's odds drop to 5/1 and Obama I'll be ?30 up. It's essentially playing the race like the stock market. Bet when the odds are high and lay when the odds are low.

I hope Obama wins, but I think it will be much tighter than the exit/opinion polls are currently suggesting

I think a lot of folk will want to appear that they are not racist, and have said to the guy outside they voted Obama, when in reality they voted McCain

There isn't anything remotely left wing about Obama or the Democrats in the slightest.

To be fair to the man the tax increases are only for those making more than $250,000 a year.

Sorry he just changed it to $200,000 a year.

Whoops, $150,000 a year.

OK final offer $120,000 a year.

My bad, $100,000 a year.

In all honesty he'll be taxing us back to the stone age.

As the man says "we need to spread the wealth" Sounds more like communism doctrine.

Time will tell. But various excerpts from his interviews etc hint toward socialism. Most notably the 2001 interview and declaring, with regards to the plumber in Ohio, "when you spread the wealth around it's a good thing for everybody".

A radio discussion in which Barack Obama lamented failures to bring about 'redistributive change' as one of the 'tragedies' of history has reignited fears he will introduce socialist-style policies.

And how many stupid/racist people will be voting for Obama because of his race? A hell of a lot.

There will be millions of blacks voting for the first time just because there's a mixed race candidate.

Just watched a video on Fox News (I know right wing radicals) showing members of the Black Panthers (carrying night sticks) intimidating white voters outside a polling station in Philadelphia. Long live freedom.

It probably cancels itself out - I read about someone on the Howard Stern show who went round Harlem asking locals who they'd vote for. Overwhelmingly it was Obama so the guy asked them if he agreed with Obama's policies and proceeded to read some out and of course they agreed.

Trouble was the policies in question were McCain's.

For however many white people will reuse to vote for Obama due to race (and not nearly as many of some of the more ignorant and dare I say it, racist ;) posts on here suggest) there will be at least an equal or greater amount of blacks that will vote for Obama for racial reasons.

Apart from looking like a whiter version of Harry Lenix and saying "change" a lot I don't really get what the fuss is about.

It also turns out that if Obama wins he'll be the first black president of the USA, a fact that until I was reminded of it a mere 65,000,000 times in election coverage I had been unaware of.

Surely these blacks may actually be voting because they now feel they are part of the process i.e. they feel there is now a candidate that will represent their interests. Has to be a good thing, no?

People should always be encouraged to vote, but I think it's a bit sad and pathetic if they're only motivated to do so because of racial hangups/prejudices.

People will always vote for someone they feel they have more in common with and will represent their interests whether they actually do or not. Whether this common factor is religion, geographical location, location, nationality or race they will always be more inclined to support them as they feel they will more likely represent their views than the other guy.

I have to love how its ok to vote obama because he is black and no other reason but not ok to not vote him because he is black.

Its utterly farcical that simply being born black seems enough to get you into power in america.

How long before the PC brigade in this country are demanding a black PM whether he is actually the best man for the job.

I actually had nothing against Obama until today and watching the media coverage and the whole race angle being played to get him in I really do hope mccain pulls off a shock.
