Heard that the cops had come in 2 weekends in a row, prior to the incident and it was full of underagers. The pub claimed no responsibility with the violence a couple of weekends ago...then the cops found the blade in the cistern in the toilets. I was told that as a routine part of the investigation following the incident, an issue was discovered with the license. This, I was told, relates to the previous licencee, and does not directly concern the current owners. As soon as the lawyers have got it sorted, the licence can be "re-issued" to the new owners allowing them to trade again. Time will tell which version's correct.
