Heading off to the battle cruiser to watch this game very soon, but I'm not confident of turning Chelsea over, I think they may have too much for the mighty reds today

I predict 2-1 to Chelsea. :(

Hopefully Liverpool will sort them out, backed them to win 2-1, if not there should not be too many 'plastic cockneys' where you are going.

With so many good players on display, I just hope it's a good game as so often there events are dour and the good players just nulify each other.

Be interesting...Lampard and Gerrard, always so much said about these two from an England perspective, I wonder if one will really shine and drive their team on to a win..???

Could be a draw..???

I can't understand why Alonso was at 28/1 to score first

It's just a matter of time before Chelsea FC march on to victory.

Long way to go and given Chelsea's phenomonal home record they may well pull it out the bag but it would be brilliant for the title race if Liverpool were to turn them over.

I'd rather see Chelsea win but a Liverpool win would make things very interesting...

it wouldn't make things interesting at all, Liverpool drop too many points against the smaller teams. It would be a great result for the EPL though, Chelsea have looked pretty much unbeatable at home for a while now.

Great win for the neutral and should mean Liverpool are in it well into the new year. Looking at the fixtures over the next few weeks I can see them continue their unbeaten run for a good while yet.

Now if West Ham can just hold or beat Arsenal it will cap a great weekend for Liverpool.

Well deserved today -- defended well and restricted Chelsea to few opportunities. Without Torres against Chelsea and Man Utd so seems can play without him at times but Gerrard is the key.

If we had him  we would be challenging at the top of our League -- one player could make that much of a difference.

Just back in from the pub watching it. Liverpool F.C were magnificent today and totally underlined their title credentials today.

Still think Chelsea and Man Utd will have a say in the final position, but hey, this is a realistic Liverpool fan, not a deluded Chelsea fan.

Red is the colour. ;)

I love it when bitter folk associate Liverpool with Celtic when it's really the other way around, Liverpool have a history that Celtic could only dream about.

Most Liverpool fans I know do not support a Scottish team, as their only team is Liverpool.

Good IMO. The 2 guys I do know well that are mad Liverpool fans support Hibs as their Scottish team. I guess no one's perfect.

Superb. Now make it meaningful Rafa and get us a win over Portsmouth on Wednesday.

By the way, Gerrard's booking was a joke. He got the ball.

Sometimes a team, for whatever reason, looks more comfortable away from home, and is vulnerable when trying to make the play on its own patch. I think there have been quite a few signs that this may be the case with Scolari's Chelsea: I still fully expect them to win the league though.

Celtic and Everton are more similar in tradition.

Were they also given the Hibs players that didn't have enough flair?
