boabyarsebiscuit
I think a big mistake was made in the January 2006 transfer window where basically we spunked a whole load of cash on garbage. Whoever picked those players should have a strong word with themselves.
Heart of the Matter
The sale of Massie (and McCullough) in the mid 1930s deprived the team from going onto win the league. Massies sale like that of Dave McKay 25 years later took away the 'powerhouse' from the team. . One of the regrettable things about modern football is that were Hearts ever lucky enough to unearth another potential superstar like Tommy Walker, Dave McKay or Willie Bauld to name but three, they would inevitably end up going to Manchester United for ?50k as seems to be the current arrangement. Assuming, of course, that they ever got a game for hearts in the first place!
