With McCain now running neck and neck in the opinion polls with Obama - I'd be afraid - really afraid. What's the betting on more "voting irregularities"?

Actually Obama has a considerable lead in both the statewide and the nationwide polls, and it appears to be growing by the day.

On the video, it is getting to an insane degree of religion when a person disregards all policy in favour of the "most christian" candidate. However for all the criticism dished out towards McCain voters, I reckon that if Britain were fed the same media as Americans there would be alot more people here wanting McCain to win.

I'm not going to air any views on this thread as I seem to offend every time we get onto religion, but I will just say, if there IS a God, then

She is to Christianity what the Taliban are to Islam.

Yes it's frightening, ignorance and prejudice are and she's not alone, as has been said there are thousands, even millions of them.

I'm not one.

It was pretty bad when she said the one with eh most faith in the lord. Never when she began to get racist!

The most recent poll has seen Obama's lead cut - 44% Obama - 43% McCain.

Some Republicans have always had a habit of wavering in the early parts of Presidential campaigns - and then returning to the fold on polling day.

I would not be surprised to see this whole thing come down to a few key states - and a few "lost" ballot boxes or "spoilt" papers.

Is that actually real or is it actors?

No one is really like that are they?

Sadly not, as evidenced by this

and perhaps even more shockingly

Although people are quick to call Americans racist, I could never imagine people in Europe voting in a Black President, Prime or First Minister.

It really depends what polls you look at. Most of them have Obama leading by far greater than one point. A couple today had him up by 12.

The real clear politics website uses the average taken from all polls, they have Obama leading by 7.2, and ahead by quite a distance in electoral college points that are likely to be won.

Scary indeed. For anyone who simply dimisses all talk of conspiracies or NWO's the evidence is growing on a daily basis. Have a look what Biden, Vice Presicent candidate, has to say..

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/20/biden-obama-tested-world-months-administration/

"Obama Will be 'Tested' by World in First 6 Months of Administration"

"Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All this stuff is recently coming very "out in the open".

It is no longer only found in dodgy conspiracy websites. It is becoming common knowledge.

These are the kind of christians that make me feel sad. I find them idiotic and wait for signs too much. Have ever stopped to think that someone saying they are christian in politics may actully be the opposite?

Obama more embelishes the true messages of chrisitany. If I was able to vote in the election it would be Obama and it is obvious that there are some who are hiding behind their christian views so they can be racist.

I think its disgraceful her being scared of Obama being Musilim. I thought america is the land of the free but it seems for some you have to be white right wing christian to be president nothing else is allowed. Though I am pleased there are still alot of americans who dont think that (know quite a few at uni and they are all Obama fans.)

My 2p:

I don't like either of them at all. Can't stand the whole anti-abortion thing and other conservative views from McCain Palin, America won't move forward as a nation with a team like that in charge and the thing about Obama is his whole image is so charismatic etc that it always puts me on edge, it's so perfectly orchestrated and I can just imagine his face on the side of the Empire State building in a Big Brother/1984 style world. I wouldn't feel safe with either of them in charge.

Having watched one of the Presidential debates the other week,I don't think it will make much of a difference who wins,as far as foreign policy is concerned anyway. Both were as hawkish as each other and Obamas' threat aimed at Russia about further meddling in other sovereign states affairs (Georgia) sticks in the mind due to it's utter hypocricy.

Will it really matter though, in the grand scheme of things? It's like choosing which baw you'd like to be kicked. Whichever one you choose, the outcome is still gonna suck and the pain is gonna be the same.

Still though, McCain in Office would be like getting kicked in the baw you had surgery for yesterday.

If McCain wins, I can see how dying "somehow" while in his term and Sarah "I'm here to feck the World up" Palin taking over. Pre-planned? Never...

Nah your right foreign policy wise they are still the big bully inflicting their will on those that dont want to be a burger eating obese red neck brain dead nation.

I would say if "SHE" did become president then i can see it being the end for us all she is barking mad you would have to point to a map to give her an indication about where these countries she would like to convert are.

Let's face it, the conservative bible belt will all vote for McCain, then all the "right on, we're so open minded and liberal" numpties will vote for Obama because he's black (he's not, he's mixed race).

Either way, I couldn't giving a flying what happens, politicians are the same the world over, lying, selfish hypocrites.

Feck em all.

Take a walk through some of the darker parts of the greater Glasgow area and ask some of the locals about their political and religious views.

It's easy to find people like this in any country. Doesn't mean they're all like that.

That`ll be the mid-west then.

State of Iowa (/ˈaɪəwə/ (help?info)) is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States of America. It is the 29th state of the United States, having joined the Union on December 28, 1846. The state is named for the Ioway people, a Siouan tribe of Native Americans that formerly lived there. It is officially known as the "Hawkeye State" and unofficially known as the "Tall Corn State".

Its a shame that Chicago and St louis are CITIES in their respective mid-west states, but the people of michigan are fine aren`t they??

I lived in MI for 2.5 years, and they're nice enough people but it's a horrible, horrible place to live. Really depressing, very few jobs, aging population, Detroit makes Glasgow look positively stunning.

There are some red necks in the northern part of the state, but most of the people in MI are democrats.

On R5 last night a life long Democrat was on saying that she was going to vote for McCain. Asked why, it is because Obama is too 'inexperienced'.

What then transpires is that this 'life long' middle aged Democrat has never actually voted in her life but will vote for the first time, and Republican.

She then goes on to say her next door neighbour who is a voter, and Democrat will also vote Republican this time - she said she couldn't say on radio why.

Mmmmmm.

that is incrediable. Love the women who tries to stop him. She is so desperate to prove him wrong but she has no way to stop him except stop him interviewing others.

I think this election is demonstrating the problem that America needs to understand. Muslims are 99.99% dont commit terriorism, Islam is a peaceful religion but to Americans in these areas every muslim is a terriorist. If they want a better standing in the world they have to get rid of this sad view.

That 2nd video is actually so shocking it's gone past funny and back to awful again. How can they say that Obama hates white people and thinks they're all trash, and is friends with known terrorists? Where do they even get this stuff?

On a side note, just watched Palin's latest speech and she really sets my teeth on edge.

There's a smattering of truth to that. Obama's minister said after 9/11:

""We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye... and now we are indignant, because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

Not saying that makes him a terrorist, just pointing out where the above comes from.

In relation to the people that were saying the above, that's probably not where it came from. When asked why she thought that, one replied 'you just have to look at his name'.
