Whats the chances of Vlad getting his 2 million price tag on the bomb scares head.

Anyone got any news on how he is doing.

Lee Wallace is a nuclear bomb scare compared to Concalves.:yadayada:

He has played 7 times for 1. FC N?rnberg and it wa sa boost that he is fit to play next game after picking up a rib injury.

Also scored with his head against Bayern reserves.

He's also played both Cup ties (they got eliminated away to Bayern).

In fact he's started every Nuernburg game this season.

Just maybe he's getting back to the form he displayed before his injury.

And seemingly he's either playing in a back 3 or left central defender in a back 4

Whats the alternative?

Exactly

Proof - if it were needed - that finances dominate Vlad's thinking not football.

Allowing the only first team competition for left back to Wallace (Wallace never even having made that spot his own in any event) to go to another club on loan with the sole intention of trying to secure a transfer fee.

Shockingly poor decision making

Don't be daft. The guy was getting serious aggro from the fans and was saying in interviews that he was frustrated and lacking confidence. Best thing for him was to send him out on loan, and by doing so Vlad managed to get him to sign a new contract too, and thus he won't be able to leave on a Bosman even if Nuernburg don't want him.

Last season we swapped and switched 2 poor players and it did no good for either. It's up to Wallace to improve whilst getting plenty of game time.

There's no doubt that Jose often has bomb scare moments but for me he normally got himself out of them because of his pace. I was concerned when I heard he might leave all these months ago.

Unfortunately we are only now realising what a big miss he'd be once he's gone like several others - Skacel, Jankauskas, Hartley even Webster.

Several posters on here want Larry to leave and again it will create another massive hole in the team that we will fill with a journeyman.

I really wish we could get back to the good Romanov days (pre Rix) where we only signed quality not pish.

Goncalves was signed as a centre-half. When he played at left-back, he always found himself wandering into left-centre, getting in Berra's way at times leaving gaps for opposition wide players to put crosses in. It's hardly his fault the coaching and management at Hearts is an absolute joke. There was a thread on here late last season asking who would you rather have at left-back, most preferred Goncalves to Wallace. Wallace has had his chance at Hearts, he's no left-back and he certainly ain't no left-wide player, his crosses into the box (when he finds himself up that far) are rarely met by team-mates, it's either too short, too long or goes out for a goalkick to the other team or occasionally a corner. Time he was moved on and a proper left-back signed.

Yep. It's depressing just how many of our players are rubbish at crossing the ball. It's patently clear at corners and free kicks as well as in open play. Makes you wonder what they do all week at Riccarton...It's been a huge problem for the team since Hartley left IMO.

We_are_the_Hearts
Goncalves would have made a top centre half if he knew how to head a ball.

Surely that is something that could have been coached?

His pace and strength were big attributes and we should have been working on his weaknesses. Never made any progress during his time here though due to poor motivation, poor morale and poor coaching. Same could be said about a few players.
