speedbump
Sounds better than that horrid celtic bassa naming it after one of his companies.
Spok
Nice idea but seems strange to start it 2009/2010 season. The Homecoming programme of events runs from the 23rd Jan - 30 Nov 2009 therefore will only tie in for about the 1st and 2nd rounds of next season!! Goodfella
Meh, most people barr tv presenters/commentators will still call it the scottish cup...Hibs will still not win it...Nothing changes except more money. Examiner
Fair play - that's brilliant. I really, desperately want Hearts to win this one now* *If it is possible for me to heighten my desparation for us to win any cup, down to and including the "Diddy"

Examiner
Am I the only one that does not think this is a good idea, mixing politics and sport Probably not the only one, but one of few I would suspect given the reasons stated: "The Scottish Government, who will meet the costs of activating the rights to the tournament, will use the event to promote healthy living and citizenship through football messages" Benefits everyone, including football. It's a good idea all round.
