McJambo
Looking for someone who might have experience of sending out large numbers of emails to people stored in a database on your computer. Setting up a new business and need to create a database of customers names and send them a monthly newsletter. I was thinking, but may be completely wrong, that Microsoft Access and Microsoft outlook would do the trick? Cheers to anyone who can help
Rawrrrrrrr
Access or Excel could be used for the database depending on what you need to use the database for If its simply to send the email just add them all into outlook as contacts and create a mailgroup of them all
The Long Ball
An Apple Mac and associated software is superior to using a windows based PC for mass emails, IMO.
makateer
Just mail merge an access database, or excel spreadsheet with outlook and it will do the job.
Rab
There's a good chance your ISP will block you at the mail server if you send out large numbers of emails in a short space of time.

Rabs right, over keen spam filters will catch your emails if its say more than 20... send them out in bunches, of 10 and watch your language in them to ensure they dont sound too much like sales messages. ... see; http://www.sendblaster.com/more-hints-better-email-sending/
