Weirdest Player of the Romanov Era?

Mr Romanov Saviour of HMFC

We have the usual suspects like Pinilla, Beslija, Petras, Strachney but who do you think is the weirdest signing of Romanovs era?

I'm going for Tiago Costa.

I mean really, what the feck was that all about?!

He played against Inverness IIRC, looked pretty decent and was never to be seen again.

This club is beyond belief at times and that was very strange!

Barassa was a strange one.

Shame he was always injured, thought he got way too much flack on here. Looked pretty decent at RB.

There has just been so many pointless signings.

Klimek was a belter though.

He was signed purely for that horse picture IMO.

Ibby Tall. Never got a game for a year then when he did he was great player. Even when he was a sub and a defender went off injured they would put someone like Bednar on instead.

Thanks Julia.

Who?!

Arnas_Lekevicius_165a.jpg

A Goalie signed from Lithuanian crack outfit Atlantis in January 2007.

To say he was horrific would be an understatement.

Dr. Sheldon Cooper
Who?!

He was a Goalkeeper. Was apparently a dreadful player. Was nowhere near the first team though.

Haha **** me. I wasn't even aware of that!

Got to love Romanov.

Does anyone have any info on Costa? What the hell happened?

I'm sure I heard that Lopez messed up his contract and gave him about 4k too much!

As a side you seem to like some strange playrers, bud, Barassa, Audery?

Hehehehehehe

Dunno, just seems that some players take way too much stick compared to others.

Audrey is nowhere near as bad as some make out.

Barassa was nowhere near as some made out as well (you are right, he was hung out to dry with never being fit)

Klimek was a donkey though - thats a given.

Felt a shame for old Pillow as well. He was clearly not ready to make the step up to Hearts (as was Iva Choo Choo)

Actually, quite a lot of signings have been hung out to dry by some bizarre team selections.

Special mention goes to Kurkis. He must have written a Jim L Fix it style letter to Vlad.

Dear Vlad, Please could you fix it for me to play in a bigger league.

Yours

Kurky Wurky.

We have a winner, was he not allegedly signed because of his of his dad! In addition to the fact he had Hearts on his CV meant he could get more money.

Futhermore, those in the know said he arrived and he said he was only here as a favour! WTF.

What was even more bizarre was the fact they saw nothing wrong it.

When the feck did he play?

I would go for Stracaney!

So bad he got subbed off as a sub.

i recall taking my son to the cup game against partick in the year we won the cup, the elusive 10k per week man Mr tall was warming up at half time, my kid was so happy to see the elusive Mr tall.

I had the misfortune of seeing him in training on several occassions.

Jim Stewart actually burst out laughing watching him attempt to catch a ball.

That Jan transfer window was bizarre to say the least.

Chris Hackett and the gang.

i thought he was okay, and lee johntson i liked him, can someone answer this question the 4 -1 humping of the hobos at tynie, was lee Johnston playing, i was sure he was and he played a blinder, but maybe i was dreaming. its been bugging me for years please help.by the way that was our chance to make it 7, 3 nil at half time and the **** down to ten men.

Saulius Mikoliunas

One of the first Lithuanians to come over.

Is a sensation for Hearts and looks like being extremely promising.

"barges" cheating linesman and gets huge ban.

Get's ****ed around by George Burley despite playing alright.

Constantly gets picked on by officials

First name on team sheet under Ivanauskas despite playing gash

Becomes hate figure and scapegoat of Hearts support

Scores cracking goals against Celtic and Hibs whilst generally playing mediocre

Dives for Lithuania against Scotland becomes enemy of nation.

Starts playing good for Hearts again.

Seems to put everything in for Hearts' cause

Back to being a fans favourite and looking like a prospect again.

did I miss anything?

Pfft your not seeing the bigger picture! What harm can it do apart from paying wages, limiting coaching to players who need it, effecting morale and ****sing the fans off!

Negaholic.

I agree a lot of guys have been hung out to dry. I think Vlad needs to take a look at himslef on that. If his master plan was to bring guys in and sell then on, he has fecked up by his own mismanagement.

Robbie is nowhere as bad as some make out but that does not make him any good!!!

Seriously, Audrey, I know you have rated him from day dot but........

Kurky Wurky, I have visions of Vlad in a big chair handing out gifts that makes me feel uncomfortable:eek:

With Tullberg on the mend and Nade keeping up the holy grail that is match fitness, hopefully we will see a change in direction with the formation we are deploying at present.

Audrey would probably be more effective coming off the bench - away from home for sure.

If Hearts keep playing the same system, dont think it will take long for a half decent manager to work out how to stop us.

I need a good laugh.

On a Sunday night, that vision could break a man.

The few games I saw him play, he looked decent. Was it against celtic he went off injured adter an excellent start? I always thought he looked a steady player.

Yeah lets send Kello home right now and Velicka he was rubbish for us too and that Miko has been rubbish this season eh ?

Do you EVER think before posting utter tripe ? FFS get a grip. Some people should not be allowed near a PC to peddle their pish. You are a prime example of that.

Players signing are announced by the Club.

Oh come on.

Even so, Hearts appear to be preparing for Gordon's possible departure.

They have signed two Lithuanian goalkeepers this month, Eduardas Kurskis and Arnas Lekevicius, leading to speculation that they may cash in on their most valuable asset.

Thanks for clearing that up, he bossed the midfield that day, with brown and Thomson playing i think, Christ even clum scored goal number 4, although i recall he missed a sitter half way through the first half.

Still ill settle for 4 against them any day.
