Apologies if this has already been posted but, just heard on Radio Scotland that Falkirk have had to announce on their webstite that their stadium is not going into liquidation, despite an article in the Falkirk Herald claiming that it had and their game with Hamilton is in doubt.

Apprently the company that part owns the stadium, and which is a seperate entity from the football club, is in financial difficulty, and they are looking at ways to restructure things.

This was only talked about for a minute or so, can't help but wonder what the reaction would be if anything like this had happened to us.

An 8 page "Tynecastle In Turmoil" special in the daily ****** perhaps?

Falkirk are considering taking legal action against the paper.

Interesting...

Monkeys working for the Falkirk Herald too

Article from Falkirk website below

The Club are happy to publish a statement from our colleagues FCSL, in response to Thursday's front page article in the Falkirk Herald?>>>

The Club would like to take this opportunity to reassure all supporters that it is business as usual at Falkirk FC. We welcome the recent decision taken by the members of Falkirk Council and now look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure a sound financial footing and a completed stadium?

Falkirk Stadium is NOT in liquidation. The management of Falkirk stadium Ltd (FCSL) has been forced to make this statement following an inaccurate report in a local newspaper yesterday.

The Company is taking legal advice on its position as a result of the inaccurate report and will seek redress if necessary.

Peter Eadie, Chief Executive of FCSL said, ? The erroneous report has caused undue concern to many people including staff, customers, suppliers, football supporters right down to parents of children who use the nursery facilities within the stadium complex."

"We have not gone into liquidation and the Company is solvent. We continue to have discussions with our shareholders as to the correct route that will see the Stadium completed and playing an important role within the community for many years to come .?

?The message is very clear ? it is business as usual at The Falkirk Stadium.?
