Wouldn't surprise me if they just went on as before, only difference being they're the same company now. HBOS is too big a brand to lose, and it would cost a fair whack to change all the branches, signage and the rest. Like Natwest, it's part of RBS but still trades under it's own name. Cybersquatting doesn't work no more, only if you can prove you are entitled to the domain name can you retain it. Like if you tried to hold onto http://www.bradpitt.com, you'd have to prove your name was indeed Brad Pitt if he came along and looked to take it off you.
