The Notebook (OK I may have been taking the **** with the last 2 selections)

A good gangster movie always does the trick.

Casino/Scarface/Goodfellas/Snatch/Lock Stock will do.

I was about to put The Notebook on for a good cry but it's buried deep in a cardboard box coz I'm moving this week. The first time I saw it I thought I would never stop crying, REALLY sad. Good though!

Anything will Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller or Vince Vaughn?

Strangely I had Anchorman out when I decided to post this thread.

On a side note, I cant wait until Step Brothers is out on DVD. Bloody hilarious!

What is emotional about it? I've never seen the reason why everyone cries over it!

If you want a good greet then 'A Walk to Remember' will destroy you emotionally.

And Mandy Moore is ridiculous. :)

Agreed, its a bit of a boring film.

Old woman loses her memory, old man reads her the same book every day. Lazy caring IMO.

The trailers looked funny but I'll probably wait till the DVD is out. What did you decide on then?

Because even after all the stuff that happened, she eventually can't even remember who he is anyway *heart breaks*

I'd have said "Heat" with pacino....

Really anything with Michael Mann's moniker. Every film of his is either one of the greatest pieces of celluloid ever or an absolute pile of sheite depending which side of the bed you woke up on that morning and who you're arguing the toss with.

Did you know that Heat was a remake of an earlier film of his - buggered if I can remember the name - think it may have been LA Takedown.... anyway, the original was a TV movie...

Never ever seen any mention of this when Heat came out, or since...

But there you go - if you don't believe me, watch LA Takedown and compare ;)

It's also got one of the best scores ever. All his films are stocked with impeccable musical taste.

Old School is better than Anchorman.

Four Brothers or Any Given Sunday.

Old School is brilliant, but at 2am, Anchorman was easier to follow.
