Coco
Says Laszlo: http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Laszlo-insists-he-will-call.4428841.jp Hopefully he will have that right as he has shown positive signs of being a proper manager so far. However, there is a bit of a heavy burden of history on this issue - all these guys supposedly picked the team according to these reports: Malofeev http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_prem/6113946.stm Valdas http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/5264234.stm Frail http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/7168067.stm Rixxy http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2331894/Romanov-Rix-picks-the-team.html Korobochka http://icscotland.icnetwork.co.uk/sport/spl/hearts/2007/03/06/lary-we-ll-catch-gers-50141-18712688/
vegas-voss
The thread title is a bit over the top is it not. Anyway i would expect barring an absolute disaster tonight that the new Hungarain keeper will be number 1 with Kello number 2.I think this purely because of the way Csaba is quoted in that interview. Csaba's comments just reminded me of the things that our other managers used to say, that's all. Hopefully he will retain the authority to pick the team. Francis Albert
Frail said AFTER leaving "by mutual consent" that "it was my team" and Vlad let him get on with it. Why?
Cut The Crap
One thing I've learned about this regime over the past four years is never to judge them on what they say, only on what they do. So far Csaba has done fine. It's always fairly obvious when Romanov starts interfering. I'll wait and see how Csaba handles that when it does happen. Don't really see much point in fretting about it in advance, though...

redm
Contractural obligations? Contractual obligations rarely stretch to making people say things, more often they focus on preventing them from saying anything. Does it really matter what anyone says at all when everything is bound to be questioned and scrutinised to this degree? They said nothing and got blasted for it, I can almost understand why they did it though....
Lambo85
What about this mysterious "Tam"?? I thought he picked the team from The Jolly Judge Pub?
hearts_crazy
If I was Hearts Manager, every time some idiot journalist asked me the requisite, 'did/are you pick(ing) the team' question i'd just get up and walk out, and keep on doing so until they got the message. They have asked this question at every single interview, before and after every single game of every single Hearts Manager since Burley. Don't know about you guys but personally it bores me rigid. As long as we keep on winning, the team selection is relatively consistent, and the Manager is happy with whatever arrangement is in place re team selection I really couldn't give a flying feck.
