S.N.T.H.
Just moved into the new gaff with the Mrs in Murrayfield, and looking to get set up with SkyDigital, Broadband etc. However, i was considering just getting Freeview initially, and was wondering if you're able to get Broadband Internet on its own, without actually having a house telephone connection? (We're not getting a house phone initially as we wouldn't use it) Can anyone tell me if, first of all, this is possible? and secondly, who would you reccomend, rough prices etc? Thanks in advance, guys.
JamboBannon10
You can get broadband without a phone line with virgin media it comes in via a fiberoptic cable but you would need to check if its available in your area as last year i tried to get it in my flat but couldn't get it, not sure if you would need to pay an installation fee though but the prices seem reasonable
S.N.T.H.
Thanks for that, mate. Just phoned VirginMedia and they've informed me that i can't get it in my area, there's nae cables! No wonder they can't compete with Sky! Obviously Sky wouldn't do a similar arrangement, no?
