Maximus
I just finished some Malt loaf with golden syrup, yum yum. Are there any other strange food combos that come highly reccomended by the users of JKB?

hughesie27
Yep any chocolate + crisps combination. I recently discovered that a regualr hame/turkey sandwhich is made a lot better with tomato or BBQ sauce.
ArmiyaRomanova
Yeah, I know - that's what I thought too. Had this in Spain, and it actually works and tastes pretty good (to an adventurous palate).... the condensed milk takes the salty taste from the anchovies, the anchovies take the sweet task from the condensed milk. It works.
Stewart MacD
To all those in Aus -beware, the virus has spread. Last week I saw a shop on Campbell Parade (Bondi seafront for the uninitiated) with a poster in the window advertising "Famous deep-fried Mars bars". Presumably for all the "backpackers" polluting the place to clog their arteries.

ArmiyaRomanova
Battered mars bars are the bomb.As are battered creme eggs, galaxy caramels, toffee crisps. Most offensive battered item.... The Tunnocks teacake Hot oil oozes into the cream filling, which then sticks to the sides and roof of your mouth, causing burns. A real hard man's supper. yvonnejambo
Most of the above are turning my stomach apart from crisps on rolls with just about anything. Think the weirdest combo I liked was corn on cob smothered in ice cream ( I was pregnant at the time, but I had dreams of this so had to make it)

Lovecraft
Cheese, peanut butter, jam and ham on a sandwich made with the heel from a plain loaf. The butter has to be pretty cold, more like a slice rather than a spread. A taste explosion with all food groups covered.
Captain Canada
CHEESE AND JAM Good shout mate. I love cheese and jam sandwiches, aka miner's pieces. Applewood smoked cheese with strawberry jam is the best.
Super T
Cheese & jam is the damage, but it has to be strawberry jam. I once went out with a lass that put tomato sauce on her ice cream!
