I just finished some Malt loaf with golden syrup, yum yum.:)

Are there any other strange food combos that come highly reccomended by the users of JKB?

Yep any chocolate + crisps combination.

I recently discovered that a regualr hame/turkey sandwhich is made a lot better with tomato or BBQ sauce.

Yeah, I know - that's what I thought too.

Had this in Spain, and it actually works and tastes pretty good (to an adventurous palate).... the condensed milk takes the salty taste from the anchovies, the anchovies take the sweet task from the condensed milk. It works.

To all those in Aus -beware, the virus has spread. Last week I saw a shop on Campbell Parade (Bondi seafront for the uninitiated) with a poster in the window advertising "Famous deep-fried Mars bars". Presumably for all the "backpackers" polluting the place to clog their arteries.

Battered mars bars are the bomb.

As are battered creme eggs, galaxy caramels, toffee crisps.

Most offensive battered item....

The Tunnocks teacake

Hot oil oozes into the cream filling, which then sticks to the sides and roof of your mouth, causing burns.

A real hard man's supper.

Banana & cheese and onion crisps on a roll....magic!

Mince pie (half) on a roll with half a mars bar...magic, and the 2 half's that are left? put them on another roll;)

two slices of bread, crunchy peanut butter on one and philadelpia cheese on the other, put both together as a sandwhich......

or.... white bread, crunchy peanut butter, sliced cheddar cheese, couple of bits of lettuce, then some philadelpia on the lid of the sandwhich, awesome hangover cure.

Most of the above are turning my stomach apart from crisps on rolls with just about anything. Think the weirdest combo I liked was corn on cob smothered in ice cream ( I was pregnant at the time, but I had dreams of this so had to make it)

Disgusting sounding concoction.

Peanut butter and raspberry jam sarnies.

Strawberry sarnies with black pepper, a wee bit of suger and a dribble of basalmic vinegar.

Cheesy toasties with sliced pickled onions under the cheese.

CHEESE AND JAM

Cheese and Jam on toast is a classic!

My granny always used make me this as a child.

At primary school dinners we used to get a Meringue nest in a bowl of milk.

Mainstream stuff here, no?

I'll eat just about anything so it's hard to think of weird combos that I've tried. I remember surprising a bloke in a sandwich shop asking for tuna and egg mayonnaise together in a roll - had to say "Yes. TOGETHER." and pay up front.

Gonna try that anchovy & Fussel's combo - interesting!

Cheese, peanut butter, jam and ham on a sandwich made with the heel from a plain loaf. The butter has to be pretty cold, more like a slice rather than a spread.

A taste explosion with all food groups covered.

CHEESE AND JAM

Good shout mate. I love cheese and jam sandwiches, aka miner's pieces. Applewood smoked cheese with strawberry jam is the best.:P

Cheese & jam is the damage, but it has to be strawberry jam.

I once went out with a lass that put tomato sauce on her ice cream!

The thing that get's me about most of these is...

How did you realise you liked them, I mean what compelled you to eat this combo.
