After a couple of concerts by Pink.

There is concern that seeding will not work in time. weather related.

Another worry for The Rangers hoping to play their early fixtures there

Without my specs on it looks like an old boarded up doorway in an arched entrance to Ibrox.

I've not being too much attention to this.

Why is MF being touted before Hampden?

Cos Hampden has no grass. 😉

How good is that?  How lucky are we?  Imagine if we had to put up with stadiums that are being used for the Euros.

Why not. Only the SFA would suggest that Hampden is a better stadium.

Not seen that confirmed anywhere. Recently it's all been about them using Hampden.

Because of this grass issue. They'd potentially need to pay to have a temporary surface put in place.

They've known all along it would have to be replaced because of the concerts?👍

Yeah, for the Scotland games later in the season, the current surface may not be ready for August. My understanding anyway.

Aye. Also they're hoping for a decent crowd. Capacity another 20k plus and there's probably a fair few gullible enough.

Will Murrayfield even be available. ?

Will their pitch not be in much the same state as the Hampden one.

Scotland have four home autumn internationals in November, pretty much ruling that month out.

I really hope this situation kills them in the early stages of the season, and if they’re forced to play on a surface that hasn’t had time to settle in properly, then I hope they suffer as much serious injuries as possible.

They never planned rangers games that early tho.

Pitch now in keeping with the rest of that place.

You don't really. It's just your way of emphasising to the rest that you're the biggest Rangers obsessive, despite some serious competition.

I do actually.

The thought of Rangers players suffering serious long-term injuries, with a hastily prepared surface being a contributing factor, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 🙂

If Rangers can't give a guaranteed date as to when they will move back to Ibrox I can't see Murrayfield taking them on. They have four autumn internationals and Edinburgh Rugby have games in the stadium next door as well which will take priority.

Rangers don't have the relationship with the SRU that we do. The SRU were also furious about being led up the garden path and spending money into putting proposals together to move the national team from Hampden. They won't be bending over backwards to help. That said they are skint so they might offer the use for Rangers Euro qualifiers.

Why can't they just use a stadium in Glasgow? Celtic Park? Fir Park? Lesser Hampden?

Given the SPFL hammered Dundee (because of Rangers) I hope they get the same treatment. But this is what happens when these new clubs rise up throw the leagues quickly..... just don't have  the structures in place wise 😁

And please don't try a manufactor a fake, one-way rivalry with Rangers, the way Aberdeen do. It's a wee bit cringey. Their rivals are Celtic, they couldn't really give a toss about anybody else.

The oddity is a grown man wishing serious injury on a football player on a forum.

Why is that, exactly?

Why is it so important to you what other posters think about The Rangers’ troubles?

Why is it so important to you what goes on at Rangers? They couldn't give a toss about us and already have a rival. They don't need Hearts fans obsessing over them like Aberdeen do.

We should use Murrayfield as it is not up to sfa

It's generally one of the worst pitches in Scotland every year but then letting gigs go ahead on it before resurfacing with the same shite beggars belief - National Stadium being the 3rd best ground in a City is pathetic no other country would accept that

Edited by rory78

Even if the pitch is ready come August, the big question I have is why will Rangers be allowed to play games there, when Queen's Park, tenants of Hampden, have to play their first home game at Lesser Hampden, followed by no home fixture until 14th September?

Or has this been covered.
