My understanding anyway. Edited July 6, 2024 by hughesie27 Quote

luckydug Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Will Murrayfield even be available. ? Will their pitch not be in much the same state as the Hampden one. Quote

Shooter McGavin Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I really hope this situation kills them in the early stages of the season, and if they’re forced to play on a surface that hasn’t had time to settle in properly, then I hope they suffer as much serious injuries as possible. Quote

You don't really. It's just your way of emphasising to the rest that you're the biggest Rangers obsessive, despite some serious competition. Quote

The thought of Rangers players suffering serious long-term injuries, with a hastily prepared surface being a contributing factor, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside 🙂 Quote
Daveandal Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 If Rangers can't give a guaranteed date as to when they will move back to Ibrox I can't see Murrayfield taking them on. They have four autumn internationals and Edinburgh Rugby have games in the stadium next door as well which will take priority. Rangers don't have the relationship with the SRU that we do. The SRU were also furious about being led up the garden path and spending money into putting proposals together to move the national team from Hampden. They won't be bending over backwards to help. That said they are skint so they might offer the use for Rangers Euro qualifiers. Why can't they just use a stadium in Glasgow? Celtic Park? Fir Park? Lesser Hampden? Given the SPFL hammered Dundee (because of Rangers) I hope they get the same treatment. But this is what happens when these new clubs rise up throw the leagues quickly..... just don't have the structures in place wise 😁 Quote

It's a wee bit cringey. Their rivals are Celtic, they couldn't really give a toss about anybody else. Quote

rory78 Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 (edited) It's generally one of the worst pitches in Scotland every year but then letting gigs go ahead on it before resurfacing with the same shite beggars belief - National Stadium being the 3rd best ground in a City is pathetic no other country would accept that Edited July 6, 2024 by rory78 Quote
Locky Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Even if the pitch is ready come August, the big question I have is why will Rangers be allowed to play games there, when Queen's Park, tenants of Hampden, have to play their first home game at Lesser Hampden, followed by no home fixture until 14th September? Or has this been covered. Quote
