inspector
My pal and I met him at Boroughmuir rugby club (mid to late 70's l think). We blethered to him for about an hour about Hearts and football in general. As he was leaving, his wife came up to us and said that was the first time in years that he had spoken to anyone outwith his family about his time at Hearts. She then showed us his 1956 cup winners medal which she wore as a pendant. Two very proud 18/19 year olds.ย

Sounds just like me.ย My dad and I stood there.ย I, too, was thirteen.ย Regarding the thread on Donald Ford and him only being booked once, am I right in thinking that Willie Bauld was also only booked once, in a 4 - 1 win against Airdrie when he threw his arms down in a gesture of frustration at the referee and got booked for it. He slso scored the opening goal, 20 seconds after kickoff without an Airdrie player having touched the ball.ย Sorry for going off topic (nostalgia does that).
