Tricky game.

Kilmarnock exposed our limitations so hopefully we can thank them later.

Disagree.  I don’t think they did.  They did manage to get a million crosses in.  Thank goodness Frankie was there

Thank Christ he was back otherwise we’d have lost that today given he’s the only defender we have who’s competent in the air.

He wasn’t great but still created the goal with an inch perfect chip and had a snap shot the keeper saved in first half. Far from abysmal.

And his passing? Or the countless times he basically tripped over the ball? He was off it today.

Its mental how some players are immune from criticism.

Great save from Clark.

Lembikisa was awful, truly awful.

Forrest slowed play down and broke down our plays.

Kent had a decent game but deary me what a poor header in lead up to their goal.

Subs needed to be made earlier, I’d have replaced Lembikisa and Forrest after 55/60mins.

If they could header a ball they would have won that game with ease.

Our corners and free kicks are woeful.

Kent, Vargas and Beni the best players for me.

A few strugglers. Missed Hoff badly. Probably not a bad point in the end as we could easily have lost that.

Kent played well and after Shankland is comfortably our player of the season.

That said Kilie dominated us in our box and could easily have scored 2 or 3 goals from headers. Truth is they missed a couple of sitters.

7 for Grant and Shankland 😂

Grant is an absolute nothing player. Brings **** all to the team. Floats around on the edges of games and threatens to do something very rarely does. Good riddance in the summer.

Shanks was well off it today.

It wasn’t his day today. He never got the ball cleanly even once. Kept getting stuck under his feet. But his work rate was phenomenal and he was fouled constantly, so he gets a 6 for me.

How much have we missed Frankie Kent? Solid as anything today. Zander was bang on form too. They get 8s. Vargas a 7.

Agreed, Kent and Beni today’s top players. Kent especially. McInnes clearly highlighted our potential weakness in the full back areas. Dexter especially was particularly poor today. Almost cruel to leave him on for so long.

Clark 8 - great save just before half time

Kent 8 - considering he’d been out for a couple of weeks, it was like he’d never been away

Kingsley 7 - did well

Lembisikia 4 - gave Watkins far too much room for their goal. Poor game overall; also didn’t realise how he can’t throw it long until today

Cochrane 5 - thought he was poor too. Just looks a yard off it. Always seems to give away fouls and he was a couple of inches away from conceding a penalty

Beni 8 - competed well and looking more like his old self

Grant 7 - started really well and drifted out of game. I find him so frustrating at times. Anybody playing as a 10 for Hearts should be scoring/getting assists

Tait 7 - thought he did well against a physical team. Couple of stray passes but had the bravery to take the ball

Shankland 6 - just didn’t go for him today. Slack passes and couldn’t get a sniff out the Killie centre backs which is why I’m guessing he dropped so deep

Forrest 5 - couldn’t get the beating of his opponent

Vargas 7 - looked dangerous but let down by final ball at times

Rowles 4 - decent cameo at left back

Mckay 3 - didn’t have much of the ball to make something happen but good to see him back

Atkinson 3 - got forward we’ll

Devlin 4 - thought he did well

Oda 2 - not in it

I had a bit of a moan earlier in the season about Offiah’s inability to throw a ball. I think Dexter is probably even worse on throw ins.
Full backs take virtually all throw ins, and while having a good throw in doesn’t get a player a start, it’s an important part of the role. Certainly practice required

Fair play to McInnes he has built a Good solid side who are horrible to play against. Add in they have good quality in the wide areas. Every set piece they caused us problems. That being said we were outdone by a superb strike to getting all 3 points.

Exactly. Was no more than a 4 today. Tagawa has that game and people would be offering to buy his plane ticket home (hilarious, I know). Fans need to be real about players on a game by game basis.

The Mercer Takeover

Clark - 8 - Outstanding

Kent -8 - MoM. Didn't put a foot wrong

Kingsley - 7 - Solid and dependable

Lembikisa - 3 - Tired quickly and big mistake for their goal

Cochrane - 6 - Needs to stop the heavy duty tackles. He is becoming a card liability

Baningime- 7 - Excellent game

Grant - 6 - Missed a couple of good chances

Tait - 3 - Small, slow and lightweight against a very big Killie side. Got in the way of a number of our attacks. Not ready.

Shankland - 7 - Did a lot of work

Forrest - 6 - Not much came off for him today

Vargas - 6 - Good goal, but needs to stop the diving

Subs:

Rowles - 5 - Strengthened defense

McKay - 5 - Good to see him back. Little rusty

Devlin - 5 - Did everything Tait didn't

Atkinson - 3 So so

Oda - 2 - Little time
