All 3 of my cars have been the Mazda Soul Red Crystal metallic colour:

Polished and waxed every weekend, it looks absolutely ****ing stunning, especially in amongst the sea of drab white, grey, and black cars on the road

That looks braw, and gets the TLC it deserves 👏 .

I wouldn't let any of my friends use my car, never mind a lambo!

I do have very dodgy friends though.

Unfortunately that's a stock image, but mine (genuinely) looks even shinier.  I've taken photos of it where you would think it's a CGI render... It's a lovely colour that takes on a hell of a gleam when it's done properly!

I love waxing the car, gives me 2 hours of peace outside at the weekend

I've been looking at getting a new car recently and couldn't believe the interior quality of most mazda's.

As in poor, or not bad for the price?

Bearing in mind they are not "premium" models, I think they are exceptionally good on the interior.  Had a look at a VW Polo when I was getting my first Mazda 2, and the VW felt like it was made from Styrofoam takeaway packages, and it was a couple of grand more expensive!

The interior on the 6 Estate feels superb.  Proper leather seats, leather dashboard trim and a decent infotainment system.  You get a lot of car for your money with the Mazdas, especially looking at the 3 and the 6 models.  Not sure about their crossover ones, or what the newest ones are like (Mine is a 2019).

Japanese cars are the most reliable according to my local garage owner.

I've had to call him out a few times though with work he's done 🤣

My lights were off on a car i had, as in, not pointing straight, he wanted me to pay for new ones, i told him they were rare and hard to come by, so he pulled his finger out and fixed them in half an hour...

I should have worded that better. No i was really impressed with the interior quality. Easily competes with the major premium manufacturers.

No idea about Mazda, but usually it's the model of car you buy that dictates the quality of the interior.

I mean, you can probably get mazdas with crappy interior and mazdas with premium interior, depending on the model and price.

I'm not sure you can get a Mazda that comes with a taxi driver though.

They really are better than similarly spec'd models. The Mazda 2 was far and away better than the Fiesta or the Polo.

The petrol engines will last forever as well, just all round well made cars. I'd recommend a Mazda over pretty much anything unless you're wanting to spend BMW money.

Plus the Soul Red Crystal is a stunning colour. Close enough to maroon for me as well haha!

I honestly couldn’t be happier if I get a nice dry day to myself to properly clean and polish the car

Bliss isn't it?  I find it almost therapeutic, no headphones or anything, just working on making it look as good as possible, and I know I'll be left alone to just get on with it.

I'll often offer to do the missus's car as it gives me an extra hour or two

I don't understand people that don't look after their cars and keep them looking nice. It's likely the second most expensive thing you have!

🤣 Pics of you in the passenger seat with your wife on your knee or it didn't happen.

This is an unbelievable story, if true, to be fair.

Totally agree although since changing to the Range Rover I’m gonna need two days and a scaffold to do it properly haha

Good point!

You missed out on having the Audi in between the BMW and Range Rover to complete the set 👍🏻

An Audi A6 Avant was considered as an alternative when I went for the Range but honestly find Audi's really expensive for what you get.

Honestly I have very little care for what people think about the car I drive, I was in my late 30's before I even started driving so try and get the best car car I can for the money I have and my situation, the 3 series was great when it was just me and mrs Ribble and I mostly done motorway miles, once Ribble Jnr came along we needed something with a bigger boot for his buggy and all the crap you need with you when you have a baby and 4x4 was another requirement as we stay on a hill that doesn't get gritted by the council and would never want to be in the position of not being able to drive our son to the hospital in an emergency, once he's older i'll downsize and get something else that suiots our needs at that time.
