Could there be more to it than you think?

I live beside quite a lot of old people, they love white and silver for some reason.

I like red, am I the devil?

I've owned white, red, blue, brown, silver & black cars and bikes. I've never owned a green one though

😂 Was literally about to post the same.

Between the wife and I we've had blue, sliver, white, black, red and grey cars.

No green cars 😏

I don't tend to have a particular fancy but I always get a different colour to the one I sold/traded in and it's one of the above colours mentioned.

To play that, do they have to ticket a red before a colour 15 times?

Tempts me to get a white car.

Apparently so. It was definitely a strong rumour/urban myth back in the 90s. There was even an episode of The Bill which featured in the storyline. The police have, in the past, released statements rubbishing it (of course).

White cars were definitely deemed the safest, reds and blacks were obviously prone to getting booked.

I still think there's more to it.

Obviously, if you just need a car, you're not really giving a shit, but there's a reason that old folk start buying beige clothes.

Mon the Science.

I usually take the council colour in a car. The paint and clear coat are only their to protect it.

Nah, it's just taking the cheapest entry level option.

Which thankfully is never green.

Would never buy a red car. Don’t like the colour, think it looks shit on cars. It also ages really badly, you see some red cars starting to go a pinky colour. Gun metal grey has been my favourite over the years, but own a silver one at the moment.

Years ago I had a lovely maroon car. Signed it over to my girlfriend as I went abroad for 6 months to study. Came back to find girlfriend waiting for me at the airport. She’d traded in the maroon one for a green one.

Herbert.

I prefer dark colours just because I dont wash the car much and it hides the dirt well. I do like white cars but its more effort to keep them lookibg clean.

Sadly I have never been wealthy enough to make the decision on a car based on colour. I buy what I can afford although I would try like buggery to avoid green.

Was told by a number of people 'never buy a green car'. So i did. Seemed like a decent wee car. Caused me nothing but problems. Starter motor, radiator and rust throughout. Never again. A peppermint green Ford Fiesta

Mazda does a cracking red on the CX90 which will be my next car, but I am going with their blue as for some reason blue is my favourite colour (except at Ibrox)

Red seems to decrease the value of a car, they are normally the cheapest listed used cars after you search their model.

I always stick to Grey, Black, Silver.

Love Mazdas , had planned getting a CX5 until used prices jumped up. Even the new Mazda 3 has a beautiful shape to it.

Yep had a test drive of CX 5 CX50 and CX90. CX70 comes out in 4 months in Mexico as well.

They are very good value. I dont like the twidly dial thing for the screen a la Audi though, Im used to decent touch screens in Hyundai but andriod auto is touch so its a small price to pay for a car that seems fun to drive!

Mine has a black roof, black mirrors and black alloys though. So it's a little different.

Current car is Pearl White. Bought new a year ago when manufacturers were still struggling with getting computer chips , so were very few cars on dealer lots and those that had cars were very limited in colours available.
Never was keen on white but do like a pearl white as when the sun hits it the right way it just oozes class.
In 1998 I bought a Forest Green Nissan Maxima ( I know. 🙄) Was a super car. Had it 10 years. Was so pleased with it I have owned nothing but Nissan’s since.
2008 Rogue

2012 Murano

2023 Pathfinder.

A very good friend of ours (taxi driver) takes us about In it, usually at night time when we go out.

In return, we let him use the Spider for his own purposes the rest of the time.

It’s good for us and good for him.

All 3 of my cars have been the Mazda Soul Red Crystal metallic colour:

Polished and waxed every weekend, it looks absolutely ****ing stunning, especially in amongst the sea of drab white, grey, and black cars on the road
