I was there. Funny how the memory plays tricks on you, I don't remember the Celtic keeper getting such a strong hand to Cameron's penalty.

Ye I remember it. Celtic played well in that game, but we controlled the second half.

What a day, the push for the penalty he seemed to leave his arms out for days making it so obvious.

I remember a poster who lived in Portsmouth at the time posting on Kickback from his work, saying we could get back from this 2-0 deficit, and getting laughed out the room.

I wonder whatever happened to that poster?

Jeezo, where has the time gone. Seems like only a few weeks since we pumped them at Parkhead.

Oh wait, it is.

A Colin Cameron type player now would be fantastic

Wow 24 years ago. I remember it well, one of my favourite away games. Supporters bus wasn’t able to leave so a mad hop to haymarket and train to queen street. I was still at school and no mobile phone. Navigated my way to Parkhead and seated just before kick off. At 2 nil I questioned the effort in making it through. I had to hide my scarf on the local bus back into Glasgow city centre. A memorable day.

I was living in Italy at the time. I had to use a phone box to call my brother for updates and was on the phone when Hearts scored their third. I was jumping about like a mad man in a roasting hot phone box that was stinking of piss. Great comeback.

Was there. In my top 5 memorable Hearts matches still. Celtic could have been out of sight after 30 mins. Cameron got us back into it from nowhere and we played really well from then. Awazing day.

I was there too and genuinely thought we had strolled the second half before watching the 18 minutes highlights clip on YouTube.

Was there in the Tic end behind the goal where we scored our 2nd and third....sitting on my hands surrounded by Tics...

At 2 scud down early doors I was raging, but turned out a memorable day for me and The Hearts....

😍🥰

What a day! 2-0 down. Fitzroy Simpson was immense. In my top 3 best away days.

FS was excellent that day. The vision and weight of pass to Naysmith was sublime.

That was a brilliant Hearts performance that day. Probably as good a performance as I can recall watching through there.

Cameron was just brilliant for us. Unbelievable actually.

It's even more baffling that somehow we got a penalty awarded at Celtic. It was an era when Celtic players knew they could make any sort of challenge in the knowledge they wouldn't be penalised, Stubbs looks bemused as to how a two handed shove in the back could be considered a foul Hearts players didn't even claim for it as they probably thought it was a waste of time. Fair play to Brother whoever it was that gave it.

Remember it well , up there with the Crabbe Millar match as the best Parkhead away day.

Our last win there was special as well, always nice to win in Glasgow.

I believe Rowbotham was the referee that day.

One of my favourite away days. What a day.

Like the poster earlier, our bus didn't turn up. Three of us legged it down to Haymarket to get the train through. At Queen Street we jumped in a taxi who then took us down the Gallowgate. After getting stuck in traffic he told us he couldn't take us any further and we had to get out and walk.

Lots of 'banter' on the way and we gave as good as we got. Some were a little too angry, but some were decent and walked with us and chatted football.

The game was amazing. 2 0 down but could easily have been 4 or 5. Cameron's goal was out the blue, but you could see the confidence grow and what a fightback.

After the match was crazy. They were all very angry! Walking along London Road was a crazy experience indeed.

Great night back in Gorgie after and can remember the whole day as if it was yesterday.

I worked beside a cousin of his (a Raith Rovers fan). Rowbotham likes The Rovers but is also a Rangers fan.
