When did this happen? Thought was Charlie Irons the club used but yesterday was outside the ground when team coach arrived and it was parks of Hamilton

When I first started going to Tynie it was Parks of Hamilton. I’m sure every central belt team used Parks. When we went into administration I’m sure I read somewhere that Charlie Irons (big hearts sponsor) offered to transport the team for free. Didn’t know they’d gone back to Parks. Why can’t JA get the team a plane?

Don't think Charlie could supply top of the range coaches for away games, PoH have a fleet of buses with kitchen facilities installed on them.

It's all about standards.

I remember Charlie Irons supplying coaches for away games at Killie, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Hampden, I also thought that the team spent the night before away games at hotels closer to the away game venue?

I remember Charlie Irons supplying the coach for free for a couple of games as well, was one game a preseason friendly down south and I’m sure up at Ross county as well? Could be wrong though. I thought it was a decent gesture from Charlie Irons. Why put money towards p o h that benefits The rangers

Not sure how far back you're going but in the 80s, Douglas Park was a Hearts director.

Charlie sold his business I think.

Could be off the back of that.

Makes sense. Looks like he resigned as a director and is no longer a ‘person with significant control’ as of March 2023 (I was bored this morning)…

Oh and another thing, PoH provided transport for the scab miners back in 1984.

There's my issue with Parks. I'd prefer we had nothing to do with the them.

Saw the sheep bus outside Tynecastle after the game.

It's pretty impressive tbf, but it's about the only thing that is about that club these days

Yep, he'd have been a director then. Big guy with a beard and glasses.

The rangers used to have their own bus when they started out in the lower leagues in 2012. It had its own physio bench etc, its colors were black and brown, well was black and brown after it had been burnt out lol!!

Parks of Hamilton were (are?) quality coaches! I used to love travelling on one home and away with the Glasgow Hearts Supporters Club - very happy days!

I suspect he’s working on his golf handicap in the warmth of Europe as we speak.

Never heard any mention of that when they supplied the “official” Hearts away day travel coaches from Tynecastle back then.

Used to be great👍
