Pele_Is_God
Been working through their back catalogue and really like them (apart from Three Lions). Seeing they are playing Glasgow in November. Any fans on here?
Greedy Jambo
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but we need more of them on the radio. Music has gone right down hill over the last 10 years.

neilnunb
I remember I bought Cloudcuckooland and the Stone Roses album on the same day. 🙂 Loved a lot of their earlier stuff and 'Pure' will always be one of my favourite tunes.

Unknown user
I appreciate the song writing but I just can't deal with the actual singing of the songs, it's a fast channel change for me. Metal Pure would be interesting to hear though, if anyone's looking for a cover.

trumpet
Seen them at the Venue in 95/95. Really good live, also had Cast as support which was an added bonus.

Pure is a great song. The guitar bit in the middle is Love Vigilantes by New Order but that's a good thing.

Oh c'mon, you've got to be kidding. 80 was probably the best for music, 90s was good, 2000 we start to go down hill. It's a struggle to find good music these days, everything is digital and the "youth of today" are too busy playing computer games to pick up a guitar. Cade
Used to quite like them. Then they made Three Lions. Straight to the top of the Arseholes List.

I suspect this has more to do with your age than the quality of music.

Tbh probably the most iconic football song of all time. Plus Baddiel and Skinner were quite funny and likeable on Fantasy Football League. romac
They were the support act for Madness at the Hydro in Glasgow in December last year. I was surprised at the numer of songs I knew that they played. Decent enough band, but I wouldn't go out my way to see them again.

been here before
Picked up their Greatest Hits, Like You Do, a few years back for a couple of quid on the back of Pure and The Life of Riley. Was greatly surprised at how many of the 16 tracks I not only knew but also liked. One of those bands that just drip feed into your conscience without you knowing. The 80s is my favourite decade as well and whilst there's less innovation these days, and the charts and radio 1 etc. are uninspiring, there is loads of great new music. Maybe depends on your taste but I discover lots of good stuff on 6music, the quietus website, pitchfork, music blogs etc. and randomly a show I found on Cumbernauld FM that plays lots of new indie stuff. Streaming has buggered the charts and guitar bands a rarer beast on them, but they are out there just harder to find. Anyway on the Lightning Seeds, had forgotten about Change, that's a tune and I liked their cover of You Showed Me.

the original dalry llama
I've never been a fan but I did see them at Connect Festival back in August. To my surprise, I knew pretty much every song they played and they were really good fun.

Bauld
I'm not a big fan but saw them supporting Madness last month and they were actually quite enjoyable. I wouldn't pay to see them headline because not my thing but if you're a fan and wondering if they've still got it and they're worth seeing then absolutely yes.
