Lovely stuff. And a perfect addition to rum.

Seconded.

Nothing tastes as sweet as Adam's ale when you're genuinely thirsty.

Pint of Estrella alongside a huge glass of the best Cava money can buy.

Then, a bottle of Rioja.

Sorry, that’s three drinks.

The only good thing about the cold weather is the water from the tap.

For me right now has to be Mountain Dew

Its very nice. But it wouldnt even be championship in Mexico.

My favorite 3 (though I'm partial to Inca Cola from Peru also) are

Atole- drink originating with the aztecs like a thick hot chocolate (though theres many flavours)

Agua de Horchata- like drinking a smoith rice ridding cinnamon/rice flavour

Agua de Jamaica- juice made from habiscus. Quality refresher on a summers day.

When I backpacked around Mexico many years ago, I was amazed at how much beer the locals chucked back on a daily basis, especially in the more rural locations. Nobody ever seemed drunk, though.

New Town Loafer

Tea for me, followed by red wine and water. Beer and coffee round off the top 5.

I remember a few years back, a fellah selling bottled Scottish tap water on eBay. Radio Forth picked it up and interviewed the guy. He had sold 700 units (mostly to the US and Canada) half of them to the same buyer 😂

If we’ve got one sustainable renewable and valuable asset in this country it’s our water. We’ve got more fresh water in Loch Lomond than all the total sources of freshwater in England

I drank out of a mountain stream one time when out hiking. Bloody beautiful and probably the best drink I ever had (I imagine jt was full of sheep shite, bacteria spores and other nasties but it was gorgeous)

A man of fine taste.

Agua de Horchata and Inca Cola are favourites of mine.

Haven't tried the other two. I sense I'd probably like them very much

Yeah they do, but they tend to drink relatively low level %vol beer and then theres micheladas, which to be honest are a great excuse for a daily drink. I do love a michelada

Used to be irn-bru before they ruined it by changing the recipe. If it’s no broken don’t try to fix it.

Yes, it does sound that way, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately though, we are still in France.

Not for long though, our house is up for sale and we are leaving here sooner rather than later.

Edinburgh and Spain beckon.  :sweeet:

We spent 10 weeks in Edinburgh last summer.  Although it was covering July and August it was still feckin freezing first thing.

We got milk, eggs and yoghurt delivered and left in a secure box outside our door.

Magic getting fresh, chilled milk for your breakfast.

A pint of Deucher’s IPA in Digger’s post match on a Saturday following a Hearts win ♥️

Although an ice cold Madri at a beach bar in Southern Spain runs this close 😎

The Jazz Emu

For the past few months, the drink of choice has been Babycham and orange squash.

Love coffee…..bought one of these a couple of weeks ago….fantastic coffee, pre programmed drinks and some DIY programs for you to tamper with…..steam cleans itself before shutting down.

:icon14: Does it grind the beans as well or use pods? My experience of using pods is limited, but I can't say I'm a big fan - I love the smell of the beans as you grind them, or the ground coffee when you spoon it into whatever you make coffee in! :woot:

I just use Italian, stovetop, moka / espresso pots, or our crappy old filter machine - it still makes a decent coffee though.

Now, if you've got one of these as well, I really WILL be jealous  :

You load beans in the top container and set the grind to coarse or smooth in 7 different steps (still working out what’s the best).  You can also use pre ground coffee but it has no pre ground container……you need to spoon the ground coffee into a port in the top of the machine and press a button on the bean strength until you see a spoon…….ill just stick to beans.
