Missed the first half. Hoff, Beni and Sibbick stood our for me today.

Same here. Only managed to watch the second half and thought those three players worked hard and had a lot of success.

Clark - 6 - Relatively trouble free afternoon's work

Kent - 7 - Shaky start but proved his worth throughout the game, especially in the closing stages

Kingsley - 7 - RCB doesn't suit him but another decent game

Cochrane - 5 - Probably our poorest player on the day. Crossing was awful and defensively suspect

Rowles - 7 - Solid. Shines in a 3

Baningime - 9 - MoM. Ran the midfield, almost like Beni of old, and his pass through for the second was sublime

Forrest - 5 - Main outlet ball in the first half but did little with it. Subbing him was effective (see Sibbick)

Nieuwenhof - 7 - Really good first half but faded in the second. Combined well with Beni and Lowry

Shankland - 8 - Two good finishes. Hopefully the corner has been turned with him

Boyce - 6 - Wasted a great chance in the first half although he did "win" us a penalty, or should have done

Lowry - 7 - Effective link up play and great dummy at the second goal

Subs:

Sibbick - 6 - Marauded down the right flank and took up some really good positions

Grant - 4 - Did well

Vargas - 1 - No time

Id pop Kye up to an 8/9 and give motm. He dealt with them on the deck and the air and i thought his forward passing was superb.

Clark - 6 - Very little to do

Kent - 7 - Grew into the game and was key at the end

Kingsley - 7 - Solid game despite playing in wrong position

Cochrane - 4 - Off the boil just now

Rowles - 8 - Excellent throughout

Baningime - 8 - Good to see him play so well again.

Forrest - 4 - Why are we persisting with him. He just isn't good enough. Full back had him on toast

Nieuwenhof - 3 - Started off bright, but quickly grew into the stealth jersey. Invisible 2nd half. I thought Boyce was slow but this guy is something else. Not fit for purpose. Can't believe he is in before Devlin.

Shankland - 7 - Two good goals, but anonymous first half, due to playing in some bizarre midfield role.

Boyce - 5 - Slow

Lowry - 6 - As frustrating as ever. Clearly has ability and had a pretty good first half, but needs to keep it simple sometimes

Subs:

Sibbick - 6 - Made a difference.

Grant - 2 - Like throwing the towel in

Vargas - 1 - No time and looks a bit lost

Does thiis include when Hof both outpaced and outmuscled their left winger, who is quick, and had made a dangerous break? Does it include Hofs own break up the left wing, starting in our own half, where he left about 3 Well players in his wake before playing an intelligent ball into the box?

Asking for a friend.

You clearly have an entrenched position on Hoff. Ridiculous rating.

Your love of Cammy has blinded you.  Couldn't have been more wrong, with the exception of someone else who said Beni was poor.  Suspect the same reason may apply.  Beni and Hoff are the best two central midfielders and will contribute if others make runs (sometimes still too static).

Have to say Beni proved me wrong today.   Said in match thread he was always getting caught on the ball and turning into trouble. Didn't  do either of those today and his through ball for second goal was brilliant. Still should have been subbed as he was knackered later on.

He's cut out the shit moments and picked up the confidence to play those passes. He had a reputation for passing, one that we hadn't seen much reason for, but when you see him pinging them through the eye of a needle like today, you can really understand why.

No quite sure why Boyce seems to be getting singled out as being poor from some folk, I thought he was good.

Should've scored, he's tried to be too cute by reversing it into the corner rather than just making good contact but overall I thought his play was good.

Few good linkups with Lowry and Shankland.  Was unlucky not to get a penalty. Kept the ball well, pressed well and won fouls to take the pressure off.

He made bad contact with it because he literally can’t shoot.  A clever footballer but a truly awful finisher. I was raging at him and Lowry for wasting that chance. Poor pass and the usual from Boyce. Need folk to sharpen up in final third, cant just be Shanks.

Overall Boyce had a okay game today but I al still very much out on him and Shanks in the same team.

Kent - 7 -solid

Kingsley - 7 - Did well

Cochrane - 6- never hides, looks to be involved

Rowles - 7 - looked good without having much physicality to deal with.

Forrest - 6- worked hard, but was out foxed.

Nieuwenhof - 7- Better game

Shankland - 8 - MotM.

Boyce - 7 - Always working.

Lowry - 7 - added quality.

Subs:

Sibbick - 6 - Never put a foot wrong, ball well won for 2nd goal.

Very Good ball, but Lowry’s vision and game intelligence has turned it into a thing of absolute beauty. It’s a pass aimed for Lowry and if he doesn’t have the vision to leave it seeing Shanklands run, we’re probably not scoring cos Shanks has run offside by then.

Clark - 7 -Nothing much to do

Kent - 7 -solid performance but not troubled

Kingsley - 7.5 - Playing well just now

Cochrane - 5 - Struggling just now

Rowles - 7 - See kent ^.

Baningime - 8 - Glimpses of him getting fitness back.

Forrest - 3 - Our worst first team regular, just a waste of a jersey 9 outta 10 games .

Nieuwenhof - 7- Played ok, still not a fan, he’s an average footballer imo

Shankland - 8 - He seemed different today, working off the ball and a bit passion back

Boyce - 6.5 - Tried but pretty frustrating day for him

Lowry - 7 - Showed signs of quality

Subs:

Sibbick - 6 - Never put a foot wrong, ball well won for 2nd goal.

Grant - 4 - good in the time he was on

Vargas - 1 - Still awaiting anything from the kid

important win today against a poor team. For the first 30 mins I was wondering wtf I was doing in this stadium watching this crap, thankfully they picked it up and Naismith lives another day.

The OP is pretty much spot on with the ratings. Thought Lowry, Shanks and Beni were the standouts. All 3 hardly ever give the ball away. Lowry's delivery from corners was top notch. I'm a big fan of Cochrane but he was poor yesterday. Constantly gave the ball away. Forest was poor as well. Didn't get past his man once. Would prefer to see Oda in there instead.

Good performance overall. We played some good stuff, totally dominated the game, and should have been scored more.

Lowry and Beni were superb, how brilliant were the 2 goals, 100% pure skill.

This is proof positive that once people have a particular player in their sights, that player can do absolutely nothing to get out of it.
A 3 for the Hoff is a disgraceful rating.

Top drawer. Would anyone else in the team have scored those goals??

Laughable rating for Hoff - he gets a game ahead of Cammy because Cammys only skill is enthusiasm

Rowles, Kent and Kingsley were all outstanding. Rowles found a new pass to a sort of snap hook switch which was very effective and put us in some very good positions.

Cochrane a weak link just now, how often do his passes up the line get charged down at least 50% I'd say, he looks unfit and has lost his way a bit.
