The email doesn't say anything. It's just management speak. You could hardly tell from that that they have anything to do with a football club.

Really, I gleaned a fair amount from it and its great to see new stuff on the horizon and confirmation that they pay attention to pledgers and pass on relevant info.

Just read mine. Apology from Mallon re lack of comms. Wondering if adverse comments re FoH and Board (re Timothy reduction) actually having effect or being cynical the FoH election is coming up. Content sadly is talks about talks stay tuned for more info tho like the strategy of targeting younger and new members.

A summary -

1. We have a new "strategy" but we aren't telling you what it is yet.

2. New website planned.

3. Want to include younger people so they can pledge their pocket money.

The rest is just blah blah blah.

Hopefully they release an alternative crayon version of each communication going forward to assist some members.

Not sure that would work, they'll start eating it.

Pretty much this.

Perhaps one of our more enlightened members could fill in the gaps.

Direct response to Gerry Mallon being called out on here imo.  And the email has little to no substance.

maintain he’s not doing enough and in retrospect was a poor choice.

he’s not really a “hearts man” (or woman) and has approached it from the perspective of building out CV. Should be replaced next time around

It doesn't address who appoints the board and what has to be done if a board change is required by the owners? Obviously not all board members are pulling their weight on the football front or we would be better! Who pulls the trigger if needed and who chooses the replacement if needed? As clear as soft wet earth! Nice presentation though.

Who gave feedback and under what limitations? Or was it broad stroke and hearsay? Who knows?

Proof will be in the pudding I guess. Pressure on the FOH representatives.

Increased pressure if we draw or lose tomorrow.

No we don't.

Too many fans are rockets, they shouldn't be trusted to run a  bath, never mind a club.

Unless it's me, I'd make us great again.

Absolutely, we have had no communication through a period of turmoil , but what ,, wait a minute,, we have been busy behind the scenes , doing exciting things ,, so exciting we forgot about the members , oh so sorry , but its all good because we have a new website and will be engaging with younger members as the older members are old farts ……..

well basically mate,  not a bad thing to engage younger fans however take your point and zero doubt in my mind, Mr Mallon has started to see his name being called out on here, on social media and and has pushed out a weak ass email. Someone in the background improving the website is nothing to wrote home about.  To be honest not exactly a complex task.

It’s not good enough.  The drop of in comms and engagement since Stuart Wallace moved on has been tangible and FOH is poorer for it.

100% this. He's as totally amateur-ish as the kiddy-on bank he works at. I've had dealings with them and they are an absolute shower of incompetence and indifference - so he's consistent if nothing else.

Get him to **** asap please.

Yup, to be honest engaging all members is a bare minimum for me and nothing to shout about

Here are the latest scores in the buzz word bingo:

Strategy - 8

Board - 6

Member - 5

Owner - 5

Project - 3

Lots of management speak with no substance.

Two new "specialist" directors? Why?.   FOH has a primary purpose to raise funds for the club. It shows little interest in doing anything else.

I don't think the two new recruits are directors. They seem to be on some sub group.

The two people named in the email are helping with marketing.

The specialists will be appointed at the AGM

Finally, at the start of next week we will be taking the first steps towards this year’s AGM and the board elections. For the election this year, we will be looking to recruit two specialist posts and details of these will be announced next week.

So the concensus of opinion is that its a waste of time sending out this type of email because nobody believes anything and everbody is Shite and we deserve better.

Same old Shite, different day.

The FOH is full of false promises. I'm sure we were told a new website was coming "next week" over a year ago. Rewards are being revamped at the same time. Nothing.

Someone (not sure if was Gerry) was on SATF podcast and told us the scarves and strip with pledgers names on it would be making a comeback and silence on that aswell.

As for the kids thing, I'm pretty sure it will be free - they don't want kids paying any money as they're away how trashy that looks.

While I have been a little underwhelmed by FOH communication my son (age 10) has been part of the discussions regarding family pledges and junior FOH. What is instantly obvious is how professional and thoughtful the people involved have been. Nothing is being rolled out without numerous meetings and discussions to iron out any issues before going public. Mallon given some Tesco Bank people the roles of voluntary consultants so it’s all very professional. I think it will be delivered well and we will see an upturn in quality moving forward.

Well that sounds completely contradictory to some of the opinions dressed as facts on this thread. I wonder if some posters have another agenda or are plain and simply bitter. 🤭

Really apart from stating that FOH will have a new strategy, it said absolutely nothing of interest. As they say there’s one born every minute.
