Every team has a bogey team and this mob are inters. Reminds me of the all conquering 58 hearts team. Struggled against Clyde (one loss and one draw). Although they did finish 4th 🙃 inzaghi out 😉

PortyJambo
Lewis Ferguson wins the Serie A's Midfielder of the Season award. It's a shame he's injured and will miss the Euro's, as would have been good to see him get some game time there. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/cd13p97znw4o

Congrats to the laddie though, hell of an achievement.

I’m not even going to try and claim a tenuous link, but I remember watching his old man and thinking - this was around the time Channel 4 started “Football Italia” that Derek would have been a player in Série A. soonbe110
Josh Doig must be regretting his move to Sassuolo in January. Will be interesting to see where he goes in the summer - Serie B or his third Serie A club in two years.

Verona shafted him, he was in the airport ready to board the flight to Marseille and then they shipped him off to Sassuolo who bid a little bit more than Marseille did. Hell of an achievement for a relatively small Serie A team like Bologna, whose results I've followed ever since Hickey (and Ferguson to a lesser extent) played for them. leginten Posted Sunday at 13:19 Share Posted Sunday at 13:19 (edited) Intriguing stuff in the relegation zone today. Sassuolo lost 2-0 to Cagliari and are as good as gone with one game left. Udinese currently 0-0 at home to Empoli. Both teams could do with winning this - Udinese are away to Frosinone, the other major player in the relegation battle, in their last game and Empoli are at home to Roma. Verona should be able to stay up - away to relegated Salernitana tomorrow. Frosinone leading 1-0 at Monza. manaliveits105 Posted Monday at 15:07 Share Posted Monday at 15:07 As for Hearts, they need Atalanta to finish outside the top four – plus other permutations – to go straight into the Europa League group phase. Rangers fans will therefore be cheering on Atalanta in their remaining two fixtures in the hope of having as kind a qualifying route as possible. Think would prefer conference anyway but if it screws up ra gers all good
ShedBoy Posted Monday at 15:39 Share Posted Monday at 15:39 (edited) If Atalanta win the Europa league final and Dortmund win the champions league final, we will go direct into the Europa league next season. Bologna vs Juventus this evening will go a long way towards settling that issue.

The situation is still as clear as mud after this evening’s draw between Bologna and Juventus. Bologna, Juve and Atalanta can all finish 3rd, 4th or 5th. If Bologna and Juve both win their last matches, Atalanta would need to win both of their remaining matches (at home to Torino and Fiorentina, so doable) to avoid finishing 5th. Hopefully Atalanta will be knackered and/or hungover after this coming Wednesday’s Europa League final against Leverkusen.
Perth to Paisley Posted Monday at 21:29 Share Posted Monday at 21:29 Typical end to and Italian season - it will go to the wire with some unexpected results still to come. Both at the top and bottom. Perth to Paisley Posted Monday at 21:47 Share Posted Monday at 21:47 (edited) From Football From Football Italia There is only one relegation spot left going into the final round of the season, as it is between Empoli, Udinese and Frosinone. Salernitana have already been relegated for some time, while Sassuolo joined them following the 2-0 home defeat to Cagliari on Sunday. Hellas Verona won 2-1 away to Salernitana this evening and took themselves to safety on 37 points alongside Lecce, while Cagliari are also secure on 36. We go into the final round this weekend with Frosinone on 35 points, Udinese 34 and Empoli 33. Sky Sport Italia calculate that Empoli have a 55 per cent chance of getting relegated, compared to 22 per cent for Udinese and 11 per cent for Frosinone. It is also possible we could see a relegation play-off between Empoli and Udinese, so there is an 11 per cent chance of that happening. If two teams are level on points in third from bottom, then they go into a two-legged play-off. What the teams need for Serie A safety Because Udinese and Frosinone face each other in the final round, the only possible play-off would be between Udinese and Empoli. In order to survive, Empoli need to either draw with Roma and hope Udinese lose, or beat Roma and leapfrog at least one of the other two. Frosinone can afford to draw and still guarantee safety, because it would put them on 36 points and Udinese on 35. Serie A standings Frosinone 35 Udinese 34 Empoli 33 Edited Monday at 21:49 by Perth to Paisley
