They sold over 17,000 season tickets so that's impossible.

Still less than 15000 inside the stadium on plenty occasions that season, Hibs sell 12500 season tickets, plenty of games there is nowhere even close to that figure

Pasquale for King

They must be gutted seeing Postecoglou at the Ashes and Wimbledon, now his first press conference 😆

That doesn't mean they all turned up for all games because they didn't!

Aye but attendances are tickets sold. Actual bums on seats is pure guess work.

No Idle Talk

They are a weird crowd. They truly believe that the whole of Scottish Football is structured to try and prevent them from winning things and that it is only their own footballing excellence and the GFITW that enable them to overcome this structural discrimination.

I wouldn't disagree with any Celtic fan who opined that there has been inherent bias towards Rangers over the decades. It's the fact that they don't see how much goes their way against all the other teams that boils my piss and leaves them with little or no credibility.

Schemey trash who see themselves as poet warriors.

There may be a more appropriate thread, and this particular incident has been highlighted previously, but a bus-load of Celtic fans turning up to a match at Tynecastle during Covid restrictions when they had no tickets (hence no right to be there) surely ranks as weird behaviour in the extreme.

Anyhoo, two of the Celtic mob got sentenced and it struck me as odd that this report fails to mention the fact that they ought not to have been there in the first place.

What's more, their lawyer tried to position them as innocent victims and that it wasn't an organised happening. Well, it was certainly not organised by Hearts fans but was undoubtedly organised by the Celtic numpties who made something of a special effort.

Ps ... The now twice convicted fella Rhind is reported as being 26 years of age ... that must surely be his 46 years old da turning up in his stead. 😁

A CELTIC supporter who launched an attack on a Hearts fan during a violent confrontation has been banned from attending matches in the UK.

Jordan Rhind, 26, was part of a group of Hoops fans who were engaged in several “skirmishes” prior to a Scottish Premiership match with Jambos outside Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh in July 2021.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told the two sets of supporters were involved in running battles which had ceased momentarily before Rhind stepped out from the crowd and punched a man to the face.

Several fans were arrested following the disorder including Rhind, from Bathgate, West Lothian, and his co-accused 21-year-old Declan McPhillips, from Irvine, Ayrshire.

The pair appeared at the capital court for sentencing today after they had previously admitted their guilt to the offence.

Lawyer James McMackin, for Rhind, said his client had not been involved in “an organised event”, that the situation had “happened very quickly”.

The solicitor added Rhind feels “shame and embarrassment” at appearing in court and that he currently works as a green keeper at a golf course and has a job offer in New Zealand which he hopes to take up later this year.

The court was also told this is Rhind’s second conviction for a football related offence.

McPhillips’ brief told the court his client had became involved in the confrontation with the Hearts supporters after he had been punched in the face.

He added: “They are, to a relative extent, innocent victims in this.”

In sentencing, Sheriff John Cook said: “I do not entirely agree with the characterisation of you being ‘innocent victims’.

“There were skirmishes engaged in between opposite sets of supporters at that stage and you both had the opportunity to leave.

“I do have to distinguish between both of you in that Mr Rhind, there was lull in the skirmishes for about five seconds or so, and you decided to throw a punch towards the other side.

“It was an unpleasant football related incident.”

Rhind was banned from attending football matches in the UK for six months and told he must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the community.

McPhillips was dealt with more leniently and sentenced to pay a fine of £610 and no football banning order being imposed.

Rhind and McPhillips pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by behaving aggressively, shouting at supporters of the opposing team, making challenging gestures and engaging in a fight at McLead [sic] Street, Edinburgh, on July 31, 2021.

Celtic suffered an opening day defeat for the first time in 24 years when they went down 2-1 to Hearts in front of just 5272 supporters due to Covid restrictions.

☝️ a classic 'Up Ye's' 😉

Former Celt Gary Mackay-Steven opened the scoring in the first half before Hoops full back Anthony Ralston equalised in the second half.

The Jambos won all three points when John Souttar, now of Rangers, headed in the winner in the last minute.

The one on the left was the welt with the taser and handbag and the welt on the right was the fat lad with the shite leg tattoo and the fake Burberry shorts

You make an interesting point Mikey . How can they make out it was not organised when they took a minibus to a closed doors match

Surprised nobody has mentioned their weird Celtic Convention they do in Las Vegas every year. Bizarre behaviour

As cringeworthy as their “ Look at me attention seeking behaviour “ as they and their Kids wander about the departure lounge of airports in strips emblazoned with a gambling product.

Should've got 6 months in the clink just for the shorts ... and another 6 months for the tat.

Oh, by the way, if the other one was the taser-wielder then surely 5 years for stepping out with an offensive weapon?

They apparently had a "convention" (ie, wandering about pished in green and grey taps) in Majorca earlier this year, much to the horror of my mate who was on holiday there

They're a strange bunch. Was just on holiday with a big Celtic fan who spotted a Rangers sticker on a road sign, whipped a Celtic sticker out his backpack and stuck it over the top. Imagine packing your bag:

Pants

Socks

Shorts

Tshirts

Suncream

Flip flops

Sunglasses

Celtic stickers........

38yo man, too.

I must admit, I spotted a Union Bears sticker on the city walls in Dubrovnik, and ripped the ****er down

I did not, however, go plastering Hearts ones up. Deviant behaviour packing ****ing football stickers into your holiday luggage!

I'd have done that too tbh. That's different lol.

Proper weirdo behaviour to even own stickers and that in your 30s though, never mind to actually take it seriously and use them 😂
