belly Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 The main thing you need to do is cooling as it is a burn albeit a superficial one, get some ice cubes wrap them in a cloth and place it on the affected area, or wet a towel in cold water and do like wise. My wife went out cycling one overcast day, that night she was crying with the pain of the sunburn, phone N.H.S 24 and they recommended wetting a towel and placing it over the affected area. I did this, and it was like putting it on a radiator, there steam coming of the towel, I would not have believed it was that hot!! But it did the trick and eased the pain.
