The handball would not have been a free kick in the middle of the pitch and St Mirren got a corner which was a benefit to them. Gogic's hand ball last Sat stopped the cross going on to Shankland as it dropped for Gogic to hoof clear. I can accept it was accidental so am OK with neither being a penalty.

When I was playing football I'd have claimed both but pot luck about being awarded...........

As you say both were accidental but one was going harmlessly out for a goal kick, the other was going straight to Scotlands top scorer inside the six yard box.

That’ll be given by VAR more often than it’s not. His arm is out the ball clearly hits it. We got away with one. We’d be furious if we hadn’t got it. In that specific incident they were indeed hard done by.

I got in last night just in time to see the penalty incident on Alba. Definitely not a penalty for me. From one angle it didn't even look like the ball hit his arm so there can't have been much in it. From the other angle it looked like he was trying to pull his arm out of the way and it brushed it on it's way out of play, but the way penalties are given now who knows.

The elbow to the head in the middle of the park, Nelly. Must have become immune to his antics by the second assault.

Yeah mate, just watched the highlights, I'd forgotten about the elbow.Poor refereeing giving that thug carte blanche to wander round trying to injure opponents. It's a complete joke.

Willie Miller having some sort of fit on sportsound about the penalty issue. Can only imagine his face is beetroot and foam coming out his mouth and ears. The state of him 🤣🤣

Of course it wouldn’t be because his beloved Aberdeen would possibly of benefited from it if given , would it now Willie ?

I have dreams of strapping WM into a seat in a room streaming classic Hearts goals.  In this dream his seat is in a drip tray, collecting his piss and tears. As it gets to a certain level ( a level decided upon by  the winner of a live  MND benefit raffle in Diggers) he receives 20, 000volts. Causing him to soil himself and subsequently trigger another jolt ad infinitum until he is a dried out sack of a man resembling a moustachiod ball bag.

So in other words, keep him in the same state he has been for about 20 years?

So, dreams do come true!!!

You mean we're lucky they didn't get it wrong, deliberately or not?

You just need to mention Hearts to WM and he starts frothing.

God knows what state he'll be in when we beat them next Wednesday.

Last night was not a good performance. I lay most of the blame for that at the door of our manager I'm afraid. We played that team six days previously and we struggled against them. St Mirren demonstrated in the game at Paisley that they knew how to go about stopping us from playing in our 3-4-3 formation. When the formation was changed at half time last weekend, things drastically improved. So what does Robbie do last night? He starts the match in the 3-4-3 again. That's just a really poor decision in my view.

It was great to get the three points but last night was a hard watch. Our goal was a thing of beauty however. That's the kind of thing Barrie McKay is capable of and we are fortunate to have him. I know he's not had a great season up till now but with him you always know the talent is there and that he could produce something at any given moment. Having Robert Snodgrass in the team is really going to help Barrie McKay I feel. It's another player in the team who's footballing brain is on the same level as McKay and who can see the same passes and the same angles that McKay can. Those two are going to work well together. They give us that wee bit of extra class that I feel the likes of Aberdeen and Hibernian just don't have. And that is ultimately why we will finish third again.

We scored a goal last week in one formation, we scored a goal this week in 3-4-3. We kept a clean sheet in that formation.

What didn’t he learn?

Seems that he learned what to do to beat them.

Hill took some time to settle into the game.  It's good to pass it round the back when you're bedding in new players.   Get them comfortable on the ball.   Some patience rather than fast tempo.  Clean sheet and onto Wednesday with confidence now.

I liked  Kuol debut.   Brave, quick, direct.   Had a chance to get played through and set Humphrys up with a clear chance.   Looking forward to seeing more from him.

Oda doesn't look ready just from the warmup and I have no idea if he'll be ready on Wednesday.   I get a feeling this one needs time.   No doubt he could surprise myself with astonishing pace and ability.   I'm willing to wait until he's ready.

So, slow game, wonder goal, clean sheet , Zander Clark absolutely brilliant again.   😊 😊 😊 😊

I presume they think that Hearts were hard done by on Saturday when we didn't get a hand ball penalty against tne same opponents? Then again it won't be mentioned.

I've got a lot of time for Tam Cowan. He's been a good friend to Hearts in the recent past. Cosgrove, however, always seems to have nothing good to say about us. Probably due to his cosying up with Hibs casuals in his past. He embarrassed himself with his petty comments about James Anderson's financial support to Scottish football during Covid. Too small a man to apologise later, when his bribery accusations were proven to be nonsense.

He’s one of a group of Hibs supporters who are Champagne Socialists and use Hibs to salve their conscience for not living on an artisans wage. They generally live in expensive houses and have healthy bank accounts. Man’s an arse and hates us.

McKay's goal was the "flare likesay" that Hibs fans so desperately try to say they have

That goal would grace the EPL passed through ST Midden. Likewise the Forrest goal at Perth.

Cosgrove is a St Johnstone supporter.

I know but he openly declares that his ‘Second Team’ is Hibs.
