I haven't been to a gig for years now, except being lucky enough to see the after race shows at the Singapore Grand Prix. It must be a nightmare getting tickets at all, never mind at a decent price.

If it's not greedy nitwits buying tickets with the sole intention of selling on eBay for a quick profit, it's dynamic pricing being used by the official ticket agent.

Back in the day, you just got in the queue at the venue or applied by post. Money eventually ruins everything.

£520 will probably get you a "carefully selected hotel package" with the rest being the ticket price.  Hotel will probably be a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn...

Two tix for Rome 230 Euros.

Two flights/train to Rome £300

Hotel in Rome 150 Euros per night

Screw Edinburgh.

I was on Live Nation on both pre and general sales days, and even at 09:00 everything seemed sold out except hotel packages and 'Platinum' tickets at £600 each. No explanation of what a platinum ticket gives you, even if I was prepared to pay it. Luckily I've seen him twice but at this level of demand and pricing, I'm out!

Sister in law got 4 tickets. Mother in law has 2 debenture seats at Murrayfield for the rugby. Also her husband was one of the leading architects of Murrayfield .

Just had a quick look at some of the prices that the sites are charging for tickets. Taking the piss £190 for 1 ticket in row QQ or higher.

Something needs done about that shite!

At Hampden a few (6, I never realised that long ago) years ago, of six people I was with, we had an extra ticket, a tout offered him a tenner for it, he didn't take it, and we couldn't give the ticket away. We were more concerned with getting in right enough, 2 1/2 hours travel from centre of Glasgow, afterwards, just walked back to our Hotel in Glasgow city centre.

Having missed Murrayfield due to being unwell, I was totally gutted. Since then my son has got into the music of Bruce and is learning a number of his songs on keyboard.

Bruce is doing a European tour next year and I have just bought two tickets for the Sunderland gig. Standing tickets for the first time at a big gig for years. At the price of the tickets it may be my last big gig. Only bought them as my son is desperate to see Bruce (took him to a Bruce concert when he was 3 and he has no memory of it).

General sale tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I was thinking about going to Milan but reminded myself he's suffering from stomach ulcers which is why the rest of his world tour for 2023 was cancelled/ postponed. Just not worth the risk.

Good luck though.

I saw him in N York this year so that particular bucket list item is ticked.

A new York gig would be amazing.  I have seen him a few times and love him live but the cost of gigs nowadays is a big turn off for me. If it wasnt for my boy I wouldnt be going.

My wife and I saw him at Murrayfield this year, neither of us are big fans and he played quite a bit we didn't know but it was still one of best concerts I've ever been to, the guy was absolutely superb and played for ages.

I've seen him plenty and with different combos of E-Street, Seeger Sessions & solo, indoors and out. I've never once come away even slightly disappointed. Similar with folk who're a bit sceptical about him - always acknowledge that he gives value for money.

I have seen him a number of times since a 15 year old in 1985, each time with the ESB. Would love to see him indoors but not managed it.

Loads of folk I know have said they werent fans but this changed once they had the live experience.

Just got a reminder I can apply to Ticketmaster today for presale. It's the San Siro and that's been on my bucket list for years. The next three hours are going to test my will power.

I asked my missus (who got me into his music in the first place) if she wants to go (I'm paying for everything) - "Nah, seen him twice this year and not bovvered. "

:verymad:

For some reason , his US part of the tour has all been at smaller , indoor venues but in UK & Europe (where "60% of the fans are", he said) he's playing massive outdoor stadia.

One to bear in mind -  La Defense, in Paris : google it. He played there this year. It's the biggest indoor arena in Europe , circa 45,000. It may well be on his tour for 2024. There's a YT video of the 2023 gig and it looks an incredible venue.

He has played at some big stadiums in the US this year. I saw him play 2 months ago at Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots). He also played the Metlife Stadium in NJ. He was playing at one of the casino's close to me in CT, but the cost of a ticket was minimum $500.

Yeah, they were bolted on to the latter / 2nd part of the tour.

$500 ?

It was 114 Euros for Rome and beer was 6Euros ($24 in Madison Sq Gdns).

I work in a prison and get these offers all the time.

They've never lived up to expectations, so it's a "no" from me.

Just reading the gigs in Dublin & Belfast haven't sold out.

Belfast - £120 a ticket and no seating.

No, thanks.

The available tickets for Milan is more than I paid for decent seats in New York this year so it's another no from me.

Artists are saying they're not screwing punters but someone is.

Blame Spotify and the like. Tours used to lose money but were to promote albums. Now it’s hard to make money out of published music when it’s on a streaming service so tours are to make money. When Spotify pay 0.003p pers stream of a song you can see that’s a problem.

Fair point - but I'm not subsidising Spotify, if you get my drift.

Good to hear, wasn't really familiar with the E street band so shocked me when I seen he was bald. He didn't half suit that mafioso wig.

Definitely the most over rated performer these days.

The recent show at Murrayfield was superb.

Saying that I'm not paying close to £200 for a ticket to the upcoming gigs.
