Saint Etienne, Metz and Bordeaux relegated from League 1.

French football seems to be a bit of a basket case.  Huge clubs collapsing, riots and pitch invasions, matches getting abandoned.

It’s a shame.

Especially when they got a brand new stadium built for the Euros a few years back it’s an outstanding ground that looks like it’s gonna just go to waste.

Loved my trip across for the game, is still my favourite Hearts away trip in Europe. Loads of beer, wine and rum and a Hearts win on foreign soil! What an atmosphere in the Hearts end that night and absolute limbs when the goal went in.

Who can forget being outside the Connemara before kick-off, so many of us that the road was shut.

Any strikers we can help them out with?

Or a quality rcb?

Same. What a ****ing celebration in the ground. Absolutely fantastic night.

Sad to see them in this mess & possibly go bust. Looks like they had been on the decline the last couple seasons but the premature end of the 19/20

season & collapse of the TV deal (plus bad ownership) has ****ed them

They scored the best goal i've ever seen at Tynecastle.

The night before I went to Australia for a year, I was sat right behind Craig Gordon, no way was he saving that.

I had the opposite view in the Gorgie.

The movement he got on the ball was incredible.

Bordeaux is such a great city. Hope they get themselves sorted and quickly get back to Ligue 1

Yup. That's it.

What a trip. I'll never forget the walk to the stadium. Or the goal for that matter.

Think it was Malouda who went on to play for Chelsea? Unbelievable hit

It was Albert Riera who ended up playing for Liverpool.

My mistake, you're right. One of the best goals I've ever witnessed - I'd put it just behind Austin McCann vs Celtic. Didn't even get excited when it was played to him as I was so sure it was the wrong ball...
