Such a recognisable voice, shame he'll not be doing the PA anymore.

Scott is the complete professional. Can't underestimate his ability to raise the atmosphere. Will be missed on the day.

Easily the most professional stadium announcer in Scotland, doesn't he do Scotland internationals as well from Hampden?

Be sad to see Scott go but he's been absent quite a few times lately so guess it's been coming. Think I was at a couple of games before he took the gig but nothing sticks out. All I've known is Scott Wilson.

Have to say his music choice is generally brilliant too. So many songs that I'll always associate with going to Tynecastle thanks to him.

No that's Graeme Easton. He's also a Jambo. He would be a good replacement.

I'd forgotten about that. But yes, IIRC we went on a decent run of being unbeaten when they played New York New York before the game!

We could be like the Yankees & play the Sinatra version when we win and the Liza Minnelli version when we lose 😉

Hope a women replaces him for the reaction by some on here.

It would be epic.

Not the lass from Murrayfield tho, she's too screechy.

Morgan Freeman.

I dont know if he posts on here though I have seen him getting pies on the Wheatfield concourse occasionally. I think he sits in Section B.

And before you ask I dont know where he parks.

Tynecastle won't be the same without him, hope he enjoys his retirement or whatever he has planned to do next, like others have said one of best stadium announcers in the business.

I hear Mrs Budge is taking the role now she is less hands on in running the club.

Would be an even bigger incentive for us to win the cup, for him to welcome it to Tynecastle in his final tenure.

Can anyone remember who the first "Radio Hearts" disc jockey was ?

If im right did the booth not appear in 1980EmdN9aLWEAIB3f9.jpg.6f54cf498842079d9fc6d84e1a6327a0.jpg

I'm going suggest Radio Forths Jay Crawford had something to do with it, the booth only lasted until they moved the tunnel then a new booth was created.

The images I've attached show exactly where it was.

im sure Scott could do with one of these  when its heavy rain over Tynecastle. Screenshot_20211013-112348_YouTube.thumb.jpg.97d1316700c32fcd72485905ca9d3027.jpg600922105_TonyFordnewHeartsmanager1981b.jpg.860740f5730b1746b493d56409012136.jpgHh.thumb.jpg.0b1288dc945f438bce8e02f46f8664f9.jpgFB_IMG_1511748085087.jpg.7fba78164fbe1951ce9916028d7770b0.jpg

Although Scott will carry on with the Gorgie I presume it will be Mark Martin that will take over from him 🤔 as stadium announcer 👍🏻

I think Scott Wilson has been a brilliant stadium announcer.  Always finds the tunes to fit the mood.  Always respectful to visiting fans.  It's an important part of the match day experience so hopefully whoever takes over can continue in the same vein.

🎤 The ‘voice of Tynecastle’, Scott Wilson, is stepping down from his matchday stadium announcer duties at the end of the current season – and the search has now begun for his successor.

If you think you're able to step up to the mic at a packed Tynecastle Park then we’d love to hear from you!

Please send your cv and examples of your work to [email protected]

Agreed

Tbh, maybe he's too respectful to away fans.

One of the best. Respectful and humorous and sometimes belly laugh funny. He will be a hard act to follow. I will miss him as our announcer.

I've got the ideal job for Scott now he's stepping back from being Stadium Announcer - see when you see these foreign fans and there's a guy with a megaphone, facing the fans, getting the singing going,  he could do that job in Section N

What hospitality package?

Details released yet?

Roy Keane will apply when he hears about the vacancy.
He gets a microphone, good seat, some twiddly knobs, free pie, few pints in hospitality, big crowds, European nights, Hearts jacket and not a prawn sandwich for miles.
A big step up from some other job vacancies at the moment, but it appears he may be looking to step back from public life, so might take the Hibs job! 😂

Doesn't say where the seats are but I'd imagine South Stand. Surely we wouldn't stick Scott Wilson behind the goals to save a tenner a head😀
