Also a great lover / critic of classic cinema and wrote a lot of good essays about it. Yes i think he was quite difficult hence not getting many picture deals really. He never really fulfilled his potential of his earlier classic films. I recently re-watched all of the Sopranos and although those scenes are incredibly well acted and integral to the plot I just had to skip past them - much prefer the banter in the Bing or outside Satriales!
