I'd have loved to have been the Heavyweight champion of the world at boxing. He used to be the main man.

Being involved in football journalism or broadcasting would be pretty cool. Getting paid to travel and watch football.

Perfect job.  Easy money - talk to death about goals and penalty incidents in a TV studio, and you then regurgitate in print for whatever rag newspaper you write for.   Michael Stewart's a master at it.      Jeremy Vine does much the same thing each morning about current affairs & celeb bollocks  - a TV show on C5 discussing 2 or 3 topics of the day with a phone-in, then on  Radio 2 an hour later to do exactly the same.

I always fancied being jump jockey. Working with quality horses, being involved with like minded folk and every race being special.

Hard life though, so many accidents, so many risks, so much self control required over diet and exercise and every race could be your last.

The guy who writes about the weather for The Daily Express website. Write one  story  about a cold front coming our way and just run with it 10 months a year.

Your hobby.

Doing something that you love doing and get paid for it.

:icon14:   Absolutely this.

I never got anywhere near that myself, more's the pity. I ended-up doing not too badly financially but also ended-up hating what I was doing and hating even more some of the people with whom I had to work. I would've swapped the big bucks, such as they were, for doing something I really enjoyed and being able to live tolerably well on what it brought in.

How about you JJ?

not actually true most of the time. once it becomes a job you more often than not end up not enjoying it as much and then resenting it

The self discipline is off the charts. Great shout 👍

For me doing the job of Clarkson, Hammond and May would be the best job in the world.

I came on to say this. Get paid to see the world. Drive a variety of cars. Best bit for me though would be the challenges - especially the ones with crappy cars.

Driving the best cars in the world and the worst, getting to see the world, acting like immature teenagers, getting pissed and doing it all with your best mates. What more could you ask for in life.

I know a couple of footballers and its not the best job in the world, Maybe when you are a kid you think this, My friend who is still playing doesn't enjoy it hasn't for years. He's at uni now and when he finishes football doesn't want to do anything within football.

Porn Star for a man you really need to start from the bottom 😜 work you're way through gay porn into the good stuff 😂 watched a youtube video with a english guy who had to do this he is quite big in the game now - Long hours and many cut scenes

I'd love to be a stay at home dad. The most enjoyable thing in my life is getting to spend time with my little boy. Unfortunately from a financial perspective, it's just not viable.

When I was a younger version I always thought that the Page 3 photographer must have LOVED his job.

Now I think something that involves driving about in the countryside in a Land Rover would be brilliant. Not sure what that would be but as long as it didn't involve any strenuous physical labour I would be well in! checking electric cables or something easy. Im in!

Where did he get his nickname from though? I could understand "King Rick", or "Ace Rick", say, but "Mave Rick"?

Would be good but I would rather be a flat jockey. The prize money on offer for a flat jockey is a lot more and they ride the better horses. Jump racing is still better to watch though and nothing beats Cheltenham.

I always liked Woody Allen's quote about reincarnation and it it exists he'd come back as Warren Beatty's middle finger.

Being a pro golf commentator for Sky can't be a bad gig.
