I would, but aching teeth are not enough, they have to be rotten and falling out before he will grant an appointment.

You should not have any bother 🤪

So, Fish saw this band in the 90s, nicked their song, and time travelled back to the 80s to release it with a band that he was no longer part of in the 90s. Hibby, rock star... and time traveller. Some boy.

Apologies...80's doh. I was still at school after all. the person in question worked with my dad at Uniroyal, as stated.

Point is, I was backing up Watties experience of Fish nicking other bands songs

Never liked Fish, no matter what or who's knickers it's wearing. That one is a weirdo

He was a flatmate of a girl I knew in the very early eighties and they had a full size dalek in the hall. The flat was directly across from the Students Union in Potterrow above what was then called a go-go pub, the name of which escapes me. I got the impression that Jo had no interest in football whatsoever.

Im sure I've  heard him claim to he a Barcelona fan as he trained out in Spain as a kid

That is what he told the authors of a book about what football clubs celebrities supported. It was quite a while ago and he may have switched to Arsenal since.

I know it's a bit random but always remember as a kid in the 80s watching Blue Peter and there was a dinosaur specialist on from Edinburgh. He turned up on national TV with shirt and tie beneath his Hearts v kneck jumper.

Also remember a kids comedy show in late 80s where one of the presenters was Scottish, Robert Harley I think, and he wasted no opportunity to wear his Hearts scarf in sketches. Great stuff

I also watched a BBC interview with Sir Alex Ferguson who claimed he followed Hearts as a boy and still watches for our results.

Yes there was a great photo of him getting huckled at Tynie for giving out leaflets. I've looked on line but can't find it.

Not sure about this one, but an odd coincidence all the same.

I reckon that Pippa Crerar, the Daily Mirror journalist who previously got the scoop on the Dominic Cummings story and is currently releasing horrific revelations about Boris Johnson and parties at Downing St on a daily basis, may be a Hearts supporter.

This is based purely on the fact that I noticed this evening that she follows HMFC on Twitter, and as far as I can tell from looking through the list of (almost entirely political) accounts she follows, the only other football account she follows is Scotland. (I’m not counting Gary Lineker or Marcus Rashford here).

I didn’t even know she was Scottish, though Google suggests she may have gone to Glasgow Academy.

This is confirmed now, by the way. Messaged her on Twitter and she replied. ‘More my family team than mine these days, though I retain a loyalty. I spent most of my childhood in Edinburgh’

She dropped another exclusive today - Johnson pictured drinking a beer at his birthday party in 2020. Keep them coming…

Keith Downie from Sky Sports News covers the north east is a Jambo. He was on the pints in the ivory hotel for the Scottish cup final in 2019

Percival King

Watching a programme about the music of 1976, scrumpy and western band The Wurzels were on it, Googled them and read a newspaper article which indicated the accordionist Tommy Banner is a Jambo. Is he our most obscure celebrity fan?
