I doubt if there are many people before the current woke generation who could deny they had ever made what today would be considered a racist comment. I think those who could with certainty would be in a minority. Times change, Sir Geoffrey Boycott was found guilty of domestic assault but went on to enjoy a long career in the media and be honoured by cricket and indeed the Queen.
