Not quite an insult but I blew the mind of a hibee in a pub once who called Rudi a refugee by reminding him it was Irish Catholic refugees that founded their club 😱🤪🤯🤣

The shite generally covers it for me, though I do like The Lochend Cockends, nice bit of alliteration

Find it quite amusing that some posters on here are outraged at hello hello but find it acceptable to abuse and insult anything hibs...not that I disagree   but some on here have double standards

Very good, not heard that before - but will use it now. Even tho their "collective" is never very big.

I like this but as an alternative what about ‘a delusion’?

Also, did this one many years back as a switch-up on an old joke:

Three Scots—a Hearts fan, a Thistle fan, and a Hibs fan—were out hillwalking together on an abandoned island in the Hebrides. After getting lost, they pushed through some gorse and bracken and found a strange half-circle of stones up against a small sea cliff with pictograms on it. After puzzling over it, they realized the pictograms were telling them that if they jumped off the cliff and yelled a word as they fell, they would be transformed into whatever word they said and would stay that way for the week.

The Hearts fan, being naturally the bravest, stepped forward and offered to go first. He took a running go, jumped, and yelled, "sea eagle!" In a flash of light, he sprouted wings and feathers and flew off into the sky. The Thistle man, excitedly, stepped forward next. "Dolphin!" he yelled as he fell, and splash, into the sea he went with flippers and a fin. The Hibs fan stepped back, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and ran forward. At the edge of the cliff, he tripped on a rock and went over the edge.

"Aw, shite!" he yelled as he fell.

After an enormous splash, something bobbed up above the waves.

It was the Hibs fan. He hadn't changed at all.

Admittedly I've skimmed the thread, but have there been responses with racist epithets and suggestions of mass violence? Because I missed those, and you should probably report those posts if you see them.

The Wee Team, the great thing about that is, that they can't dispute the fact.

They get affectionately called the Muppetmen in a couple of my favourite songs.

"H.I.B. - E.RN. - I.A.N. the Muppetmen la la lala la lala la la.

"and Pat Stanton and his Muppetmen got fecked on New Year's Day"

Intertoto trailblazing pioneers.

The reason I like cabbages is that they call themselves that.

Call them every foul name you like, but don't suggest their supporters are gaaaaay!   Weird.

That’s not alliteration, it’s just two words that kind of rhyme.

Henry, I heard you holler that Hibs got humped at Hampden.
Now that’s alliteration.

The old ones are the best ones.

When I meet people and they talk about football, anyone who says they are a Hibs fan I always instantly say 'Oh yeah I knew that' when they ask how could you know the reply is simply 'because you look like one'

Simple and effective IMO

Indeed! Mind you, they are not all that difficult to spot. 😉

Who needs phrases when a picture tells a thousand words?

I use "The shite". Not as an insult though. It's just the best way to describe them.

Team - shite

Club - shite

Stadium - shite

Fans - shite

Manager - shite (and creepy)

Coaching staff - shite

History - shite

Present - shite

Future - shite

Strip - shite

European form - shite

Cup form - shite

Derby form - shite

Hibs - shite

Whenever you see a 5-1 score line ask them what the score was for that game.

Always thought the Docksiders was quite a clever derogatory term.

Could be used in a variety of professional settings and was just enough to get under their skin without anyone accusing you of being out of order 😉 🤣
