No Idle Talk Posted August 28, 2021 Share Posted August 28, 2021 We totally controlled that first half and it was nice to see us have most of the possession for a change. We need to do more with it though as we weren't creating all that much considering how much of the ball we had. They will have to come out more in the second half and that could open up some spaces for us to exploit at the back. Once again the final ball from the wing back positions is dreadful. Michael Smith can't cross a ball. Andy Halliday is only marginally better. It costs us chances to score. We get men in the box and can't put a decent cross in for them to attack. Perhaps Smith and Halliday should ask John Souttar for lessons. His cross for Peter Haring was an absolute peach. That is how it's done. Regardless of who comes on though it just feels really good to be up and still have a bench filled with decent options who you feel like could all add something.
