He was fortunate not to have his leg broken here!

looked a shocker in real time and the photo makes it look even worse. No idea how he got away with that

Think he's so much more effective playing at wing back tbh.

Agree. Cracking finish today. Well done Andy.

Have to admit I'm warming to Halliday. He always seemed a bit too Rangersy and not really good at anything in particular but he's put in some good performances this season and has goals in him. Could be a useful part of the squad this season in midfield and covering on the left.

Calm down folks it's St midden a relegation threatened team every season.

We should be expecting players to shine against that mob

Aye, they're also a team we haven't beaten away from home since 2012 🙄🙄

Spoke well on the radio there. Don’t see people’s problem with him really. 🤷‍♂️

And yet we haven’t won there in 9 years. A very good performance from Halliday today regardless of opposition.

11, 9, 7..... they are clearly an improving team, and one that we haven’t beaten away in the league for 10 years

Should shut a few up with that…

Yes.

Including myself

Been critical of him for his rangers fawning on OG but if he keeps that up he can don a sash on it for all I care.

To far?

I’m very much not a fan of Halliday in midfield as I feel he slows the play down far too much.

However, he is a very useful player to have in the squad and I have no issue with him in the LWB role. Think that position suits his attributes far more than centrally.

Good performance from him today.

Goodwin's doing a very good job with them. Don't think they'll be anywhere near relegation this season, unfortunately. ON the upside, Goodwin may get some offers from elsewhere.

TBF St Mirren were a solid unit today. Still dirty bustards mind....!

Good shift from Halliday today and great finish.

He is not a brilliant player (nowhere near it) but is vastly underrated by some on here.

Halliday :loved:

I had the pleasure of having to listen to the St Mirren commentary in the second half. You could hear all the crowd shouts...he's definitely our w@nker and every team needs one.

Very limited squad player who will have the occasional good game. Need better.

Based on last years performances I would agree… so far doing much better and if he keeps it up it will be fantastic.

Pleased for him. His podcast work is, by and large, humpty albeit good-natured but he's proving himself on the park and that's all that matters.

Well played Andy.

This in spades.  When you think about the dross we have had, effort not one thing you could query. Definitely agree that left hand side is his best position

I think he’s strongest on the left of the pitch.  Another great game today and it’s great to see we can adjust personnel around the formation for once.

I like him. Not the best athlete in the team, nor the most technical but wins his battles and keeps going to the end.

Much more effective in that role. Still a back up player for me but useful to have around.

Hardly a f'in back up player bet he is about first name on team sheet at moment.

😂🤣😂.  Clearly your gauge of a good player and mine are slightly different, fair enough. Don't normally like giving Michael Stewart any credit whatsoever but his summary of our centre of midfield was spot on today.

He will be once we're finished in the transfer market. Useful though.

Forgetting of course the beat Rangers and Aberdeen in last years cup. And they didn't get relegated.

Honestly don't mind him at all. Plenty of effort when he plays. Might not be the most gifted but the effort outweighs the talent.

And a goal today 👍 nice one
