Fans Survey

It’s in reference to the malaise that would seem to be working its way from top to bottom of the club and including fans like myself who have been sleepwalking through the past 4 years

for example

we lose a game at Ibrox when champions and the budge statement the following day is “what a great result (apart from the score)” the only thing that matters if we are playing is the score!

Ah I am with you.

That makes sense, understood and yep - agreed with that.

This is part of my issue with them and FOH at the moment - of course my survey will have skewed data to a degree given the bias nature of some of the questions but I felt it was important to find out what details and factors there are driving the emotional comments that we have all been making during the past few days

Done , didn’t think its particularly biased at all , emotions will drive responses , there is options there to allow you to put your position out in more detail.

Cheers mate

514 completed surveys and a 66.1% participation rate in the first hour

I am aware it is a survey littered with bias but that can be taken into consideration along with the participation rate as an acknowledgement that some will not want to participate as a few questions are driven by fan bias

I just want to collate some data that can be discussed amongst fans or on podcasts etc - it gets very boring to just hear neilson out or neilson in all the time

Neilson in? What strange company you must keep! 😎

I've circulated on Twitter & FB. I realise you might get Hobbits completing the survey but then I thought they'd also do that on here.

Done 👍

... will you be forwarding this to HMFC? It’s sensible, well structured and they’d probably be more receptive to this type of thing than all our normal rants, venting our spleens!

Cheers mate. Yeah I’m sure a very small number will look to get revenge for makalambay being voted their best keeper in an EEN poll

Yes once I have collated all data I would like to send it to FOH at the very least. It’s had over 1,200 completed surveys in a couple of hours. Would love to hit the 5,000 mark over the course of a week and then see how it looks

Is it too much for the club to do this?

Yes. And I'll explain why - I used to work for a US multi national who badgered their employees into completing their crappy  annual "voice of the workforce" survey when most people thought it was a waste of time .

But after a while people got quite vocal and asked - what was the company doing with the feedback ? what were their "top ten takes" and what did they intend to do about it ? The company then had to respond and demonstrate they were listening to their workforce (literally having badgered them into completing the survey) and taking tangible/measurable  steps to improve in said areas of concern. So they stopped the surveys.

There are some great comments in the survey at the end and what is really great is that there has been very little to no personal abuse aimed at individuals

Done. what's the intention here? submit to the club?

Probably FOH buddy

to be honest it was in part just a way for me to try and get a bit further into the weeds past all the Neilson out shouts

I wanted to try and see specifically what fans are feeling is leading to this

to outsiders as well they are perplexed as they see the team comfortably at the top and maybe don’t know the historical reasons for the unrest

fair enough. I think the key thing is for FOH to represent the fans and make an unequivocal statement that we want change, firstly with the manager now and then the board once Budge hands over control.

I understand outsiders looking in not understanding the anger but they've not watched most of our matches this season and don't understand how bad the league we are in is. It's crazy to just brush aside unacceptable early cup exits to part time teams as well. It matters, anyone trying to hold onto our league position which is close to being under threat doesn't have a clue

Never felt so disconnected to the first team as I so now, hard to see how I could take my young son and have him form bonds with any of the players and get caught up in the atmosphere when the players are so uncommitted and the atmosphere over the last few years is almost nonexistent.

my work do the same thing and when they collate the responses they come out with the nonsense of the results are unexpected and they will put working groups together to sort the issues. surprise surprise nothing much actually happens

I have created a 11 question survey for all Hearts fans to take part in if you are interested - please share this

For a start, what a great picture that sums up the passion of real football fans.

And, I bet none of these are any of the snooty Hyacinth Bucket types who have been on here decrying fans (and their mode of dress) for protesting at the shameful state of the mismanagement of the club.

Completed.

Took a bit of time with the comments after a short break. Tried to be objective, was too easy to naturally be emotive in my views.

Done and filled in some comments, trying to be polite, as everyone should be putting aside our anger and hopelessness felt at this time. Maybe sending it to the press would have a better impact on the board?

Done. I would imagine the majority of the surveys will be quite damning.

Those killing our club should be forced to read everyone of them.

Done. Even managed to put some comments in. Tried to be civil and explain why many are so angry or frustrated.

Let's hope it helps to move things along as we need change urgently.

Probably pointless doing this survey now. Upstairs ‘pet hibby’’ bragged to me a few minutes ago it’s linked on their forum and they are doing it. They’re obsessed.🤮

Great, so much better when criticism is constructive rather than abusive
