milky_26
rhubarb for me as well, the tartness from the rhubarb is what makes it stand out. if you have apple crumble you need to add lots of cinnamon or blackberries etc to add some extra flavour

indianajones
Hard choice. I'd probably pick Rhubarb but could easily change depending on the mood. Mind being over for dinner at someones house and they had made an apple crumble but had put peaches through it too. Was very good.

Years ago I went to a girlfriend’s parents for a meal and to meet her family for the first time. Her mother was a chef and the meal was fantastic and then she produced rhubarb crumble for dessert. I forced my way through it out of politeness. As I finished her mother burst out laughing and said “you don’t like rhubarb do you?” Turns out she’d spotted it when I saw it but decided to enjoy my suffering. Finished it though. Cruyff
The sheep's heid does a mean apple and rhubarb crumble. I like both, both together but I prefer apple. I'm a sucker for anything with custard. Simple* *Except for the weird cases where there are fruits that should really be veggies, and vice versa. Stick to the vibe of the thing though, you won't go wrong

Our neighbours have an orchard by their holiday home so bring us tons of apples which get stewed and crumbled all the time. So apple crumble bores me and I always want to find something to add, such as brambles. I'd like to try a nice rhubarb crumble, though. But with custard, just like the TV show. scott herbertson
Prefer rhubarb, but happy with both or a combo. We bought some good quinces a few weeks back. Thin sliced into apple crumble and cooked so they are still al dente. Fantastic Also like apple and blackcurrant - I'm growing several blackcurrant bushes int he garden with a long term view to freezing enough to have at least a monthly crumble
