As I finished her mother burst out laughing and said “you don’t like rhubarb do you?” Turns out she’d spotted it when I saw it but decided to enjoy my suffering. Finished it though.

Apple for me. Especially Norwegian apples as they are at little more bitter that those from southern Europe.

 

Apple crumble with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream is always a winner in these neck of the woods.

Rhubarb the best by a mile. I have a luv in for Pink Lady apples but recently the quality has been getting worse bruised and not as sweet as normal anyone else notice the same wonder if it's down to delays at the ports

Going to be controversial and throw a curve ball Peach ? 

 

I made a peach crumble a few months ago it was lovely had mixed berries too. 

 

But if its between Apple and Rhubarb  apple every day of the week for me.

Unless the crumble is cold then you have it with hot custard.

I make my own apple and pear crumble. The tang of the apples with the sweetness of the pears with a touch of cinnamon chucked in. With custard or cream. Deeeeeelish!
