First day non voters will receive a warning and will be mod killed if they don’t post on day 2. This will not be the case in the event of an early lynch. I'm not a fan of this approach mainly because it is easy for the goons to hide amongst the crowd. They can easily blend in by getting involved in the lynching of a non-poster. Even if that person is a goon they'll happily take the hit as they're of benefit to the goon team anyway. Has been a while since that happened though. How often do we lynch a goon on day 1? Not very, since they can protect one another. How often do we lynch the Cop on day 1? It has happened...should be less likely now if they have masons who know them and can sway the voting. How often do we lynch the Doc on day 1? Since they're flying solo they are at as much risk as the rest of the solo-flyers. Is that a risk worth taking? In my opinion - that's a resounding 'Nope!'. If the Doc turns out to be the likely modkill - well they'd be heading that way anyway so lynching saves another townie from getting duffed in. Yes, the goons can hide in amongst the potential modkill lynch-voters but how often do we learn much from day 1 anyway?
