Roxy Hearts
1 hour ago, Adam Murray said: I like George Horne at 9, and he probably will be the future along with Dobbie for Scotland, although sometimes Horne's game management under pressure can be suspect. Price led the stats in this seasons 6 nations for passes made, 347 of them, which shows he's always there trying to control his areas. He also never started against Italy, so that's a pretty good return for passes made. Thought against France on Friday his presence made Dupont have his quietest game for a while. I do believe he could be quicker with his plays though, especially on Scotland's scrum. On Scotland's future, I think it looks not too bad, check out this try the other week there from young Rufus Mclean (10) 21 Year Old Rufus McLean Amazing Solo Try - Glasgow Warriors vs Dragons - YouTube That's a superb try. Thanks for posting.

Yet this unnamed person will be on the plane to SA. Jim Renwick is still a better centre than Farrell.

willie wallace
I was listening to Peter Wright and Colin Gregor this afternoon and both of them reckon Stuart Hogg is the only certainty to be in the Lion's squad. So many players of similar ability that a coach tends to go with the guys that he has worked with and is familiar with. Will be a tough call and hope some others make it. sprinbox98
Does anyone know when the 2022 fixtures are likely to be announced? it’s normally the week after the end of the current seasons campaign...but as with everything else, this isn’t normal times. Wondering if anyone might have some inside information to help for a trip to rome next year!
Seymour M Hersh
Finn Russell has been handed a 3 game ban on the back of his red card. Seems harsh.

I assume that means he'll miss the Heineken Cup quarter-final for Racing against Edinburgh this weekend then? Not that it will significantly affect Racing, who even without him will have way too much for Edinburgh.

I think thing will hold of another month or two to see how covid vaccine roll out plays out before locking in dates tbh, hopefully wrong as it would be nice to start planning something that's not a trip to the supermarket! Peakybunnet Posted Tuesday at 11:07 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:07 Think now Gregor Townsend has been chosen as attacking coach by Gatland there is a better chance of Finn Russell and a couple of other Scottish players joining Stuart Hogg in the squad.

Think there will be quite a few, there should be. Hogg defo. Russell, Watson defo, Ritchie, J. Gray, Sutherland defo. VDM defo. Z. Fagersson, Sam Johnson and Sean Maitland with an outside chance imo. He and Gatland come at the game with such different philosophies I can only imagine that other coaches (such as Farrell) turned Gatland down and he couldn't go much lower profile. It could be quite fiery, especially if Gregor is going to have much say in the selection.

Captain Sausage Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Not much hair in the coaching team. Dazzle the Saffers. As said above, with Tandy in it should help Hamish Watson and potentially Sutherland get in. Toonie will likely help with Russell and VDM joining Hogg on tour. 5 is the number I’d expect we will take.
