Alloa are absolutely terrible, they can't even string two passes together.

You'd expect us to be three up at halftime.

I don't think we've been particularly great but have done what we need to do.

Yeah, normally give it to us to give back to them. Makes more sense the way they did it tonight but no chance that will be consistently applied.

Settled down and looking better, but Roberts and Halliday.....

Don't know what you're expecting, I'm not a particular fan of either but they're both having good games tonight.

Roberts brutal .... couldn’t trap bag of cement.   Should be another couple up.   Keep going, want more goals.

Looks better on the right, to be fair. Definitely not a "to the byline" type, needs to be coming in on his stronger foot.

Bazzas right boot

Good half, but doing what we should.

Could have had a few more as well, looking far more sharper in the final third.

Another goo bit match time for Halliday and Haring.

I would like our strikers to score a goal or two.

Roberts has done a few nice things but fails far too often at the basics and looks completely lost off the ball at times.

Game going the way it should.

This is the sort of game to bring Henderson and McGill on with 25mins to go.

I was thinking the same myself, especially if we can add another goal or two.

For a 15 minute spell in the middle of the first half they had us on toast. We got the second goal just at the right time.

Not too bad so far, good goals. Naismith needs to wake up and I forgot Boyce was even playing. Needs to do something.

Thought Naisy been decent, all over the park. Boyce set up the 2nd...

Alloa have played some very neat passing, I like the way they try to play the game. However, we've got just too much firepower for their defence to handle. We've played some good stuff at times, and some slack stuff at others. Going well, but plenty to work on.

Strange request but.. Anyone know the song that was being played at HT there? I've never been able to find it - lyrics are something like the streets of Gorgie.

Wasn't listening but is it the one that goes 'I'll meet you down in Gorgie'

Fairly easy 45 minutes for Hearts. Hopefully score a few more in the second Alloa haven't offered anything.

Roberts is terrible however.

He's better than last time at least but he's getting into a bad habit of having a clear shot on goal and fecking it up. Hopefully he'll get a goal this game.

Bit of an exaggeration. They pressed us well for 5 to 10 mins and we gave possession away badly  about 3 times during that spell but they barely got near our goal.

Good half. Naismith looking much more like himself, Halliday a vast improvement from Friday, great to have Haring back, and scoring too. Decent from Berra. Need Boyce to score to lift his confidence, maybe his season will take off then,he works hard but just seems to panic a bit when he gets the opportunity.

Could do with Boyce getting at least 1 goal

Or a touch, he’s only been near the ball about 5 times.

3 really good goals.

Shape much better but hard to judge at this level at home as we should be sweeping teams aside.

Props to Berra for not hoofing it.

Haring makes a big difference to us.

Haring making the difference to allow Berra to pass better?

How long does Naismith have left on his contract?

I'd be looking to shift him out the door in the transfer window to be honest, even if he does score tonight.

I don't think we've made the most of him (keeps sitting in midfield) but he's well past his best now and another injury is just round the corner.

I'd take Roberts off and put one of the young lads on. He's shown no bottle at all.

I'd also take Boyce off in the next 5 minutes if he doesn't do something good and bring on Wighton.

Still need to quicken the padding and stop passing it sideways and back when it’s not necessary.
Passed off the park for 15 minutes by a team pressing us again, I’m sure folk said all the teams just sat back and lumped it so allegedly we couldn’t play the pressing game 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️?!?!

If it's the one I think it is, it's Going Down to Gorgie by Johnny & the Jambos...but I could be wrong.

Can't seem to find it on youtube but can buy it from the club shop.

Bizarre eh? We have enough problems with Old Firm bias without showing Rangers wins during Hearts games 😅

IIRC he’s under contract until 2022. We had to offer him a longer contract to get the deal over the line.

Yeah something like that, always find myself humming along when at Tynie and got a wave of nostalgia when I heard it faintly over the stream. Any idea?

If that happens and Wighton scores reckon Boyce would need dropped to bench next game
