ToadKiller Dog
In terms of his career in getting most likely a guarenteed start then yes hartlepool would be a better option ,Personally cant see Hartlepool as a route for him to the EPL if thats his ambitions ,but as i said in the first jones thread good luck to him. Has he stated anywhere why he turned down hearts ,all i have heard is that he wants to play regular 1st team football .

frankblack
Not too bothered here. We should be looking at better than no mark Man U reserve rejects anyway (although Romanov is probably only looking at Kaunus rejects). How can a club with no manager be signing players anyway? Ben Dover
Dont think I've started a post with "For F**** sake get a grip" before So..............FFS get a grip Having been loaned out to an array of clubs in his brief career one might have thought that the oft used tag 'nomark' would have been heading his way..............but not when there is some much needed Vlad bashing to be done eh Hardly a rush to sign him and, not surprisingly, the boy probably regards Scotland as an outpost of the footballing world anyway ! We've seen players leave here to go to the likes of Boston Utd, getting paid more down there in the lower ranks of the Football League ? Is there then maybe ...........just maybe.... a slim chance that he just fancied staying in England rather than it having to be a case of him 'fleeing' for his own sanity away from the madness at Gorgie ??? Gigolo-Aunt
The lad would have no idead if he would be in the managers plans, where he would see him playing etc, etc. Must have been a concern for the lad. Players want to be "wined and dined" by the man who wants to sign them. They want to feel they are vital to what the manager wants to achieve. 12XU
This guy is most likely dross that Man Utd have found out after wasting a few years and a lot of cash on him. Whether HMFC are in " crisis mode " or not - anyone who decides to pick a lower league nobody instead of at least trying to make the grade in Scottish football sums him up. Lets see where he is in a season time. Freed by Hartlepool I reckon.

I agree there is far too much Vlad bashing on this forum. A lot of people on here moan for the sake of moaning. However, a player choosing a mediocre League 1 side from a junkie infested smogtown ahead of us is very embarrassing. It's not like Hartlepool is close to home for him either. It's over 100 miles away. He may turn out to be a good player, he may end up not making it, but to choose them over us is shocking and it shows what a mess we are in. Ray Winstone
Common sense at last. Ha ha - very good. The boy had a medical and still chose to go to Hartlepool rather than come to Hearts. And why do you reakon that was? Because of the state the club is in. We cant get a manager for love nor money and now it is starting to effect signing players. Its got nothing to do with how good the player is etc etc. Its to do with the circumstances that this transfer has failed to materialize.

Surely he would have already known we are a 'laughing stock' prior to coming here and having a medical checkup Anyway, maybe the boys agent advised him to come here a) out of courtesy ......or just to raise the heat on prospective bidders down south while never having any intention of signing for us?
