That’s not Gauld, it’s Scott Maxwell. I played a few times for Edinburgh United when he was there. Quote

So Davie Bowman has basically always looked about 30. Think he must be 16 or 17 there. Quote

McNaughton was basically our main back up forward, with Colin McAdam I think. Cowie was excellent cover and unlucky not to be a starter more often. Quote

Murray and McNaughton I’d have never got, names ring a bell kind of thing. I do kind of remember Colin Mcadam, Rangers players and brother played with Celtic, which is what sticks in my mind. Quote

Also like that they couldn't take another shot with JC looking the right way. Pre-digital cameras I suppose. JC is all "Gary, I can't believe they put the 6s trophy there" To be fair the 6s was a very big deal at the time. Edited October 5, 2020 by ToqueJambo Quote

Yep definitely. Went down to Innerleithen with a pal all ticket game. Got the train at Portobello station just the two of us 11yo and no adults with us quite common for kids to be given their freedom back then. I remember the wee ground and a pensioner sitting at a table taking in the tickets, if there was a turnstile we didn't see it. 5-0 to Hearts iirc A different world then. Quote
